Yuan was an earthbender who was captured during Lian's machine raids in his village.[1]
History[]
Yuan, Haru, and Tyro were all training at the village's earthbending training camp when the raid started. Haru was devastated to discover that Yuan, his best friend, was kidnapped during the raids.
Much to Haru's surprise, Yuan was spending his time helping to control Lian's final machine. When asked for his motives to aid their enemy, he simply answered that they just wanted the Hundred Year War to end.
After the machine was destroyed, however, Yuan realized his mistakes and left the fortress along with Team Avatar in safety.[1]
