"Listen, I joined the Equalists because I believed in what Amon said. I thought he could make life better for us nonbenders, but I didn't sign up for this ... this war." |
— The warehouse worker lying to Lin, Tenzin, and Korra.[1] |
The warehouse worker was an employee of Future Industries who worked at one of Hiroshi Sato's many factories and warehouses in Republic City.[1]
History[]
When Chief Lin Beifong, the Metalbending Police Force, Tenzin, and Avatar Korra searched all of Future Industries' warehouses and found no evidence of Hiroshi's suspected ties to the Equalists, the worker subtly placed a note in Korra's hand that requested a meeting with him underneath the north end of the Silk Road Bridge at midnight in order to "find the truth".
Once Lin, Tenzin, and Korra arrived at the bridge, he revealed himself and explained that he joined the Equalists because he initially believed that Amon could improve his life as a nonbender, though claimed to have grown a strong disapproval of the war Amon was waging against benders. When asked by Lin, he confirmed that Hiroshi manufactured the electrified gloves for the Equalists, as well as a new weapon, and he told them the location of the secret factory, situated beneath the Sato estate. However, as Hiroshi Sato revealed during the subsequent battle at the Equalist factory, this tip was devised to lure Korra, Lin, Tenzin, and the metalbending officers to the factory in order to test the new mecha tanks' combat performance.[1]
