Fanonbenders' Fanontastic Fanon Contest, Round 7

Back again!

Late once again, but never fear~ You're all able to start work on your submissions earlier, and for those of who who don't know, the prompts for the upcoming month will be featured in the WLS each issue! Just keep an eye out.

Now, onto this month—no more newsletter advertising (but if you want to submit something, let us know~!)—the prompt was 'extreme temperature'. We thought it would be easier, for both you and us.

It wasn't.

Alrighty, we had four submissions, and all of them were fantastic. Bomochu, Jacob13Kyle,Sparkstoaflame, and Kyoshidude all put pen to paper and came up with some of the most interesting stories we've read in these contests. Honestly? There's really not a lot of feedback we can give. They're all excellent stories in their own right.

We found Bomochu's story, Love, Where is Your Fire? to be an interesting expansion of Azula's actions and attitude shown in "The Beach". Unfortunately, she did seem very slightly OOC in some of her actions, but a character like Azula is hard to pinpoint, we know. It was still an incredibly enjoyable story.

Jacob13Kyle's story, Dragon Rider, is every bit as good as his other stories. Everyone seemed to go for 'extreme heat', and he was no exception. The plot was brilliant, though sometimes it felt like there was too much action and not enough description.

Now, Sparkstoaflame has begun yet another wonderful series, and her entry, Die, is the first chapter. It holds true to her style, and though the beginning seemed a little slow, it soon picked up. It was an incredibly descriptive—almost poetic—story, and we loved it.

Unfortunately, there can be only one winner, and for this month, we couldn't not go with Kyoshidude's Forever Hot. All of the stories were brilliant, however the prompt was most explicit in this one. A little on the short side—short and sweet, some might say—this was the perfect companion piece to one of his earlier submissions, and was perfect for this prompt.

The participants can use the {{FBParticipate|round|fanon|type}} template, while Kyoshidude can add the {{FBWinner|round|fanon|type}} to his page. Just change 'round' to 'round 6', 'fanon' to your fanon's name, and 'type' with whether it was a one-shot or chapter.

Now, for this month, we've gone for a word limit. We want you to write a story that is exactly one thousand (1,000) words long. We're going to be checking the count with an online word counter, so be sure to double check! However, that's the only restriction. This is the time to write about whatever you want :)
