This unnamed Fire Nation boy was a good-spirited, compassionate child who urged Aang's sky bison, Appa, to flee the Fire Nation circus.

Little is known of this young boy, although he apparently lived under the strict rule of his father who would punish his son should he have stirred up trouble.[1]

The young boy appeared to have been a staunch lover of animals. He first caught sight of Appa being held captive in a metal cage at the circus. The bison was vainly attempting to extract a bale of hay using airbending. Defying his father's orders to remain outside the circus tent, he secretly crept inside and fed Appa the bale of hay, to which the grateful animal responded by licking the child's face. He quickly fled the circus tent upon seeing Shuzumu and circus trainer approaching, but bade Appa goodbye before being led away by his father.

The boy later attended the circus performance hosted that evening with his father. He was dismayed to see that Appa had been cloaked in a ridiculous costume and became troubled over viewing the circus trainer's cruel methods of commanding the bison. He, along with the rest of the audience, laughed upon seeing Appa's crude attempts to obey the trainer and encouraged him to escape his miserable life at the circus. He was last seen warmly smiling after Appa's successful getaway.[1]

The young Fire Nation boy was caring, benevolent, and sympathetic toward animals, specifically Appa. He tried to help and encourage them whenever he could.[1]

  • Despite not being related, he did share strong facial similarities with Avatar Aang, which caused Appa to be reminded of his close friend.
