| Katara and Toph are reclining on chairs on a beach in the United Republic. Ikki and Meelo are playing on the sand, and Jinora is reading a book. Bolin is bending a sand sculpture of Opal for her, and Korra and Asami are relaxing. | |
| Katara | Always good to see you, Toph. |

| Toph Beifong | Meh. I'm not thrilled to be back in Republic City...but getting to spend time with Opal is worth the hassle. |
| Bolin | [Sees Opal snickering, and assumes that it is directed toward a somewhat crude sand sculpture that is supposed to portray her.] ...Opal, I'm really trying here... |
| Opal | I just can't take you seriously with that mustache scribbed on your face. |
| Bolin | Yeah, Meelo pranked me this morning. Can't take your eyes off that kid for a second. Although, I can't help but feel like it makes me more distinguished. |
| Opal | Pft! |
| Katara | The prank war continues. You know, Toph...I remember when you and I couldn't go a few days without trying to one-up each other |
| Toph | HA! |
| Katara | You were ruthless. You bent pebbles up my nose if you caught me asleep. |
| Toph | Yeah, but then you icebent a slide right underneath me. I slid down a mountain into a boar-q-pine den. |
| Both Katara and Toph wear awkward expressions as they remember the incident. | |
| Katara | If I remember right, you once metalbent my furniture to the ceiling. |
| Toph | And if I remember right, you once hid a turtle-duck in my office. It took me days to find it, and it laid eggs. |
| Katara | Those were good times, huh? |
| Toph | Oh yeah, the best... |
| Katara and Toph look at each other. Their minds begin to spark a new idea. Nearby, Asami is looking worriedly over her shoulder at the two older women while Korra continues to try and relax. | |
| Asami Sato | Something is happening... |
| Korra | Eh. Let it happen. |
| Katara | [Standing up.] Are we really doing this? |
| Toph | [Standing up.] Oh, you bet we are. |
| Toph earthbends a wave of sand at Bolin and Opal, knocking them both over. The sand sculpture of Opal takes on a screaming expression as this happens. | |
| Toph | Bolin! Opal! Look alive! |
| Katara and Toph | Children! Huddle up! |
| Asami | [Panicked.] Korra. Korra, the grandmas are plotting. |
| Korra | Nope. Vacation. Relax now. |
| Jinora, Ikki and Meelo are shown talking with Katara. | |
| Jinora | [Puzzled.]...but why are we pranking Toph? |
| Meelo | I mean...I can give her a mustache, too. But I don't want people thinking I'm a one-note pranker. |
| Katara | [Serious.] Children, if there's anything I know...[Her eyes narrow.]...it's the maniacal mind of Toph Beifong. |
| Katara grins and points over to where Toph, Bolin and Opal are sat down on mats and talking. | |
| Katara | And right now, she is over there conniving. |
| Opal and Bolin are giving Toph confused looks. | |
| Opal | You...want us to prank children? |
| Toph | [Waving her hand.] No no no. I want you to prank Katara. But if there's collateral damage, that's not our problem. |
| Opal | But why? |
| As the three of them talk, Katara and her grandchildren are shown talking while huddling up together in the background, with a pair of peli-puffins flapping about nearby. | |
| Toph | Getting a rise out of Katara is my proudest tradition! And it has been years. Have a little fun! Honestly, Opal, why are you being such a stick in the mud? Riling you up is almost as hard as it is with Lin. |
| Bolin | I KNOW!!! |
| Bolin | I'll secretly bend their towels from underneath them. |
| Opal | Bolin, you are only now just barely getting the hang of sandbending as it is. |
| Bolin | We inform them that the beach is infested with 'sand moles'. Notoriously famous for stealing people's towels. The only thing that can deter them is the smell of garlic. The kids'll have to eat heaps and heaps of it to keep their towels. And then once they're are annoyed at how much they smell, we can yell "Surprise! There are no sandmoles!" |
| Toph and Opal stare at Bolin, looking unimpressed and confused. | |
| Toph | This is the boy for you, huh? |
| The discussions on possible pranks continue. As they do, Korra is shown imagining herself as an unintentional victim of the suggested pranks, becoming increasingly uneasy as she does. | |
| Meelo | How 'bout we feed a bunch of peli-puffins spicy bean cakes. Then we startle them into flying over Toph and pooping everywhere. |
| Korra imagines the peli-puffins flying over her head, the birds obscuring a brown stain. | |
| Opal | We mix wasabi in their shaved ice? |
| Korra imagines a spiced-up Ikki breathing flames in her face. | |
| Jinora | We blow sand over all their food. |
| Korra imagines herself buried under a pile of sand. | |
| Bolin | [Tenting his fingers.] We replace their suntan oil with flaming hot pepper jelly. They'll think they're getting sunburned, put on more oil, and burn even more. |
| Toph | [Laughing.] I changed my mind, Opal. This boy's a keeper. |
| Korra | ...There's no way this can end well for me. [Removes the towel covering her eyes.] Avatar intervention time. |
| Korra sits up and raises both her hands, with Asami sitting up next to her. | |
| Korra | Everybody, chill out! |
| Korra's gesture is revealed to have waterbent a large wave that comes bearing down on the cast. She spreads her hands out to her sides, parting the wave and causing it to harmlessly pass by her and Asami. The next panel shows Toph lying down on a piece of seaweed with a wide, toothy grin on her face. | |
| Toph | Oh ho ho! Avatar, you have made a terrible mistake! |
| The next panel - and the last one of the story - shows a now messy-haired and smirking Katara talking to Meelo, as Toph faces Korra and takes up a bending stance nearby. | |
| Katara | Start feeding the peli-puffins. |
| Asami | [Panicking.] Non-combatant! Neutral party! |
| Korra | [Quietly.] I suddenly have regrets. |
| Opal | [Frantically pushing Bolin ahead of her.] Run run run run run run. |
