I was trying to create a page on VfD for Avatar Wiki:IRC guide/Nick warning but for some reason I seem to be incapable of doing so. Not sure if namespace is causing it or the slash is, but since you wrote the current VfD I thought I'd bring it to your attention.
The VfD page hasn't been working for several years now, as far as I'm aware. I remember quite a while back I tried to make a VfD for Brittney Williams since she was no longer going to be the artist for Turf Wars but it didn't work, so I spoke to Lostris about it and deleted it. Just some more information on the situation.
Thanks! I really hope you don't mind me using you as a labrat for this. Clearly, there is something wrong with the inputbox, and I'm not sure if it's because the MediaWiki extension was updated and broke stuff. I've switched to the old createbox style which is used by the War Room.
@FireFerret: Can you please try it again?
EDIT: Actually, it may not have anything to do with what I've mentioned above. So don't worry if it doesn't work this time either.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I copied in Avatar Wiki:IRC guide/Nick warning and was able to see the edit page. I typed my comments in and hit publish and then it redirected me to the VfD page with no page published. I checked my contribs and I did not see anything in there to indicate that I had hit the publish button nor did I see anything in RC. I'm running Chrome 60 on macOS.
Yep, I think the problem was with the js. I've changed it, but until the script is approved I won't really know if the problem has been fixed - since I need one of you to test it. I'll update this thread when that happens.
Most peculiar. I tried in Chrome 60 but it did not work, however once I tried in Safari 9.1.2 it did work. So I guess it's browser end? I didn't bother to clear cache on Chrome though.
Huh, I'm on FireFox 55.0.3 and it didn't work for me.
One thing I noticed-- today I attempted to edit the VfD TF created and I was having issues with that too, it seems whatever the problem is it's not inherent to the creation of a page but editing the page altogether. I hope this information is of some help!
Yep that helps. I've submitted a few changes, and I'm sure this time it will work. The execution is a bit less subtle though... You'll see anyway, because I'll personally ask you to test it after the script goes live!
