Time.
but he was young, usually people at this age died from several things, not from they age.
Well, you also have to remember that he spent a hundred years in statis, which was sustained by the Avatar State. My theory is that even though he didn't age physically during that period, the fact that he spent so long in there contributed to his passing away at such a relatively early age.
Ok, what's statis?
A typo. My bad. That should say "stasis" - in other words, suspended animation. The Avatar State kept him alive and sort of unconscious for a hundred years from the moment he and Appa fell in the water right up until the point when he awoke after Sokka and Katara found him.
What I think is that this affected his body in some way, and as a result of that he died far younger than, for instance, Toph, Katara or Zuko, all three of whom are alive and well seventy-one years later when LoK kicks off.
That's my theory - he was physically only 66 because he did not age while in the ace. But he was actually 166 because he spent 100 years in the Avatar State while in the ice.
Well, it's not "my" theory in that I didn't come up with it. But it's the theory I have heard that IMO makes the most sense. So that I think it is the most plausible explanation.
In the best sequel ever in the entire history of movies and cinema, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker goes to the swamp planet Dagobah to seek the legendary Jedi Master Yoda. Luke recieves full-on Jedi training from Yoda through rigorous mental, physical, and spiritual tests. This is reminiscent in LoK when Korra meets Toph in the swamp, as well as when Aang went to see the guru in The Eastern Air Temple.
What actually killed Aang was his prolonged time in the Avatar State. Being in the Avatar State for extended periods of time can wear you down. That's why Aang was always weak or tired after just a short burst, but being in it for 100 years wore down his lifespan a lot. That's why he died "prematurely" at the age of (1)60.
The word "latter" is a pronoun referring to the last, or "latter" of two nouns in a sentence. For example: "I wanted to see which cereal I like better, Frosted Flakes or Honeycombs, and I preferred the latter." Its opposite, the "former" refers to the first spoken subject, in that case the former was Frosted Flakes and the latter was Honeycombs.
i donr know what is avatar state, and i dont know what was there, the latter thing your talking about i dont understand and i dont know how its has a connection to the question on aang
