  • They could use their powers to bring the atomusphere and start little air buble communities on the moon. They could fly their with bison. They could move the atomusphere around and still be nomadic.

    • Nope. Not possible.

        Loading editor
    • Why?

        Loading editor
    • First, How would they bend the atmosphere to the moon? They would need to bend the air continuously to maintain it.

How will they purify air? Did they show this ability?

What about water? They will need to come earth and then go back to the moon to get water. It's not practical.

Also, there is no guarantee they can bend the air bubble all the way to the moon without getting tired. And then there is the sun cooking them alive.

    • Good point you win, I didn't realy put thought into this, enjoy your victory, your an insperation to debators everywhere, and yes I am serious not being sarcastic, sorry if you thought I was, enjoy some victory music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANk8xlsp1pQ , bye.

    • I try my best.

I agree that people should be more like me, though.

    • You focused on the moon, but what about Mars? There is air, metal and water.

        Loading editor
    • There are far more factors than just that. Have you watched The Martian?

        Loading editor
    • Yep.

        Loading editor
    • What is this "Mars" you speak of?  Aside from there being no Europe and thus no Roman Empire in the Avatarverse, the solar system is considerably different from our own.

That said: any given barren little rockball with mere traces of water is much like every other such barren little rockball.  I doubt an airbender could survive there without specialized equipment.

    • No human could (alone). Bending the elements ≠ guaranteed survival on another planet. First of all, no one ever specified whatever planet this is, i.e. factors like gravity, atmosphere, distance from sun, climate, geography, biology, air pressure, existence and rarity of water, soil, rotation, possible moons, etc.

    • When I reffer to Mars I usually mean the next planet in the Avatarverse in the Solar System. In fact, we don't know how it's atmosphere really is, but we do know the next planet is bigger.
      Planetary alignment

If Earth was the fourth, "Mars" would be the fifth, the double of size. And if Earth was the second (which I doubt because of the sun's proximity) mars would still be bigger and with rings.

        Loading editor
    • Earth also is not the second because the second planet in the image has rings.

      Edit: I meant third.

        Loading editor
    • That planet with rings is the third, look it closely.

    • The Avatar World has an intriguing solar system, I would like to know more about it.

Also, to beat this horse even further: Assuming enough benders, with no aid from technology, could bend a breathable atmosphere of enough size to sustain themselves & their mounts--assuming Sky Bison could fly effectively off-world (note that we don't just send planes into space)--assuming they had plants or something to recycle carbon dioxide into oxygen--space is huge.

No, you need water and soil to produce plants to produce oxygen in order to produce air to support life.

    • The airbenders can't make air; they can only bend existing air. You would need waterbenders, firebenders, earthbenders and metalbenders in order to make a real society. Although, that would be a good idea for a fanon.

    • Just give them a lot of trees and a barren wasteland and the Air Nomads can turn it into a hospitable place.

    • No, they can't, that's not how a sustainable ecosystem works. The land has to have nutrients & water for the plants to survive. The plants have to either have nutritional value for the people trying to live there or they have to be able to supplement with livestock that can live off of the plants. Also, if you're insinuating that the land does not have an atmosphere, plants need that. They require carbon dioxide to conduct photosynthesis & they still do cellular respiration, so they still need oxygen, just not as much in comparison to animals because they don't have the same kind of energy needs.

Lot more goes into making an ecosystem than trees and oxygen.

I said WAIT, they're antropomorphic, but that's another story.

    • now the two biggest questions of all: the bending could work in another worlds? i ask because at the rythm that the avatar eath develops their tech, i find possible they visit other worlds

the other question: could exist non-human intelligent species in other worlds? and these species could use bending or they will show another kind of power?

Probably. I'm more curious about Spirits on other words. Technically speaking, Yue/The Moon Spirit originates from beyond earth. So if there's a moon spirit, coul there not also be a Sun Spirit?
