(Correct me if I'm wrong).
She piloted a plane...she drove a boat...she drove another boat. Wow. Really contributing to society.

Short Answer: No
Long Answer: I'm not really sure what Asami was doing in this season that had any relevance what-so-ever to the main plot or anything of importance. While I like her character, this season she just felt like an extra, she was just there because her character was established to exist, but the writers pretty much had nothing for her to actually do other than try to reestablish Future Industries, and even that subplot pretty much had no real relevance to the story as a whole. Oh, and she and Mako apparently hooked back up, that might be important... somehow... -_-
I was soo disappointed :( I think she has so much potential as a character but they use her like some kind of multi purpose taxi service! I think the writers forget she can fight, I mean she took out the equalist lieutenant! The whole love triangle thing pisses me off. I think that there doesn't need to be any kind of relationships! The first series had some flickers here an there but they weren't prominant until the final season. I think they kind of screwed Asami over after they changed the orginal concept of her being an equalist spy to being Mako's 2nd choice girl. They need to develop more on her character and make her more prominant and have her actually kick some ass!
She could've done soooooo many useful things, but seems like the writers had no clue of what to do with her in the series other than just being a transportation service for the avatar. And her fighting move wasn't as impressive as I expect it would be. I'm so disappointed. This girl has a lot of potential and the writers just took a crap out of it.
I was kind of hoping she'd gain Airbending randomly then see how much she "changes"
First thing she'd do: Demand Airbending allowed in Pro bending
