Odd, why remove the relationships? They seemed adequete... Felinoel 04:47, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
There really source on her exact age is there?Thatother1dude 06:18, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Is Lee her last name, I can't seem to tell, I have known two people who had Ty as their first name in my life so I assume its an actual name. I ask because Toph's page says her and her parents are the only characters to have a last name... felinoel ~ (Talk) 23:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Her friends call her Ty Lee all the time, and it seems a like an impersonal way for close friends to call her if it's her last name. I mean, no one in the Gaang calls Toph, Toph Bei Fong in casual conversation. I think Omnibender's right. Puragus - Talk 01:01, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Just because her friends call her by her possible full name doesn't make it impersonal, especially since its only 5 letters, you have never called someone by their full name when that person has a short name? felinoel ~ (Talk) 17:15, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, my cousin's name is "Lillie", but her friends and I call her "Lil". She has a short name already, but we make it even shorter.
It just seems unusual to me that close friends would call each other by their first and last names, and not just their first names. I mean, I've never seen that happen, except occasionally when they're joking around. In fact, I wonder why they don't just call her "Ty", even if "Lee isn't her last name, if they're so close. Puragus - Talk 17:31, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- The only "Ty"'s I have ever known have both been guys, so it might be a male name felinoel ~ (Talk) 17:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Ya, when you combine these points, you'll see that the informality and the unlikliness of calling someone constantly by their full name, shows that to a high extent, that Ty Lee is most likely her first name. Thanks. Joey - Talk 01:48, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Ty lee sounds like Chinese first name. Like Yin Xi or Lin Lin. I think it is her first name, and we just don't know her last name. 188.8.131.52 20:15, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
Should this be made of note? 184.108.40.206 15:48, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Are here eyes really grey? I've seen episodes were they are brown our green Waterkai 18:49, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Green? Green eyes happen only in Earth Kingdom people. About Ty Lee, it's the same thing with Aang's eyes and hair, depending on the lighting, the color can change a lot, but we've checked, and when there's the least interference, her eyes are gray. See how much light can change eye color at Eye color. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
About the green eyes, when she's taking off her face paint as Kyoshi warrior in Ba Sing Se, you can see they're green. Waterkai 20:50, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- No, that's only because of the green light around her. 888th Avatar - Talk - Contributions 23:00, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Kyoshi Warrior Image
I hope someone intends to restore Ty Lee's image as a Kyoshi Warrior, the original one. That is an important part of her profile.220.127.116.11 21:01, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Aww, come on! That just ain't right! That was a good concluding shot. I say restore it.18.104.22.168 22:22, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- This cluttering thing we all have a problem about can be easily fixed if we do this really smart thing: make every image just the preferred size. Honestly, wikia image policy does denote this, and some browsers might find images appear too wide (I, for one, would much rather use normal size). Those sizes are preset for a reason. —Excelsior, The Flash - (Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me bay-bay!) 22:35, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Can we change that pic to one of Ty Lee doing some Chi Blocking, rather than just her running on a wire? it seems lke that's her more distinctive ability, and is more recognizable as her own ability (I think I've seen Aang doing some wire-walking a couple of times, but I've never seen anyone else block Chi). Plus, it would look cooler, with her fighting and all. Puragus Talk 22:32, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Image is supposed to show her, not describe her, I don't see a reason to change the picture, but if others support, I'll vote, even if in the same picture. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:19, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
I actually strongly agree with Vaznock, the first sentence of the article describes her as "cheerful and energetic" but she looks almost devious and Azula-ish in that picture. I know characters are multi-dimensional but I think there are better pictures out there. Liebling 01:22, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
If this was the image of her "You're right Azula, it is the Avatar... and friends..." from The Drill, I agree that she'd be devious and Azula-ish, but I don't see how the current Boiling Rock image gives that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:04, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- I just stumbled upon my old arguments here, and I think I'll go back to them. The image, for one, is very close-up compared to the other main/major character images. And, as said before, the current image of her almost portrays her as being sneaky and villainous; it's like using an image of Azula smiling for her profile picture. Vaznock - Talk 04:00, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
I am surprised this hasn't made it onto the trivia yet: The scene in "The Guru" when Katara realizes that Azula, Ty Lee and Mai are Kyoshi Warriors in disguise, the way Ty Lee handles being undercover and discovered is done in the same manner when Cammy White assassinates Albert Sellers in the Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Both women are in disguised, discovered and uses their superior acrobatic skill to eliminate the exposure by performing a hand stand on their opponent and throttles after the act is done while landing on their feet. The only difference is Cammy dislocates Seller's neck, making her blow lethal, while Ty Lee merely severs Katara's bending. Is this good enough to add to her trivia?

I'm really neat-freakish when it comes to quotes, but I really think the quote needs to be changed. The quotes are supposed to represent the character, and Ty Lee's personality isn't usually that serious. I think it should be something more like, "Look at that dust cloud. It's so...poofy!" This is just my two cents.
