I'm in the process of rewatching the series, and while I do this, I'm compiling all of the hanzi/kanji I see in Avatar onto one Wiki entry, Chinese Characters (Hanzi/Kanji) Used in Avatar. I was in the process of translating the posters from The Deserter when I found this page. May I copy the translations at the bottom of this page over to that page? I'm also adding the hanyu pinyin for the characters, because sometimes it matches the dialogue and sometimes (Ba Sing Se, for example) it doesn't.--Pepperjackcandy 01:42, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, there are quite some translations in episode pages made by TLane. Omnibender 01:45, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Someone should make a note of the various apocalypse now/Heart of Darkness references throughout this episode.

Trivia is wrong. Appa was airbending in Bato of the Water Tribe while fighting the Shirshu. 71.217.51.242 07:30, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

+2Goofs - Kataraa's healing[]

Jeong-Jeong says to Kataraa that only a few waterbenders have the ability to heal, but when they reach the North Pole a class of females are in the process of healing hinting that it's more of a subskill that's learned. Is this a valid edit?
