ummm, just wondering since im new to avatar chats and discussion.
what is the community's take on the fact that Sozin's comet is indeed a comet, so its actually made of rock and ice??

It's clearly not an ordinary comet for the real world, but then, flying bison aren't ordinary by our standards either. So I guess comets are giant fireballs in the Avatar universe. Munkiman 01:20, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Orbital characteristics[]
Assuming an orbital period of 100 standard years, could I impose on someone astronomically inclined to venture an estimate on how far away the comet gets at aphelion? Just an aside, I don't think it would make it to the(ir) Oort cloud. knoodelhed 07:11, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
