"Steely" Ning is an earthbending mobster and the leader of the Terra Triad.

History

Steely Ning serves as the formal leader of the Terra Triad according to their internal hierarchy, though one of her lieutenants, Wei Tia, was the one that the Triad members actually looked to. In reality, Steely Ning was in charge because she was the mouthpiece of the corrupt businessman San Ho, and his money and resources both supported the Terra Triad and removed threats to Steely Ning's reign as long as she followed his instructions.

Steely Ning was part of Sun Ho's plot to use the Terra Triad to sabotage his old rival Wakkanai, who was in charge of Republic City's water treatment facilities. She sent a Terra Triad member to the offices of the Republic News to disrupt their investigations after it was discovered that a reporter was looking into San Ho's secret history. She was also frequently found at the criminal hideout of Ba Mi Ting Dumpling Headquarters. After Varrick was kidnapped by San Ho and the triad, Steely Ning kept watch when he was held at Warehouse 26 before they planned to move him to the water treatment facility.

Personality

Steely Ning is loyal, especially to San Ho due to his money and power. She was willing to do most anything he asked as he kept her on top of the Terra Triad, and she strongly wanted to remain in command of the criminal group.

Abilities

Steely Ning is primarily a bruiser, and is a big, tough fighter and scrappy earthbender with metalbending abilities. Her signature ability was throwing a cloud of metal shards as if they were knives.
