Patterns in Time is an anthology of stories set in the Avatar universe, collecting previously published Free Comic Book Day issues as well as a number of new stories related to The Legend of Korra, with the exception of "Wisdom". Originally scheduled for release on April 12, 2022,[1] the book was delayed several times and eventually released on November 30, 2022.[2]

As a child living in the Southern Water Tribe, Korra finds a polar bear dog cub which has become separated from its pack in a storm.

Wisdom[]

Air Nomad pilgrim

Bumi and Meelo have to deal with criminals, while also discussing their relationships with their respective fathers, Aang and Tenzin.

Trivia[]

  • Even though the book's back cover text states "Join Korra, Asami, Mako, Bolin, Tenzin [...]", Mako and Bolin do not appear in any story featured in Patterns of Time.
  • The books' stories are the first comics in the franchise to include references to the Chronicles of the Avatar novels, such as mentioning the in-universe book Poems of Laghima (known from The Rise of Kyoshi) and Avatar Szeto (whose name and life story were given in The Shadow of Kyoshi).
  • This is the first The Legend of Korra anthology.
  • In "Clearing the Air", Appa's ears are white, correcting a goof from the comic's original release, where his ears are depicted as brown.
