This captain of Omashu's army acted as an assistant to King Bumi by the late Hundred Year War.[1]

History[]

One day in late 99 AG, the captain was holding a speech to his fellow soldiers, imploring them to be ready for anything as they would soon be deployed at the frontlines. Just seconds later, Team Avatar raced by in front of the captain, sitting in a derailed Omashu delivery system chute. The captain and the other troops were left shocked by the surprise encounter. Team Avatar was subsequently arrested for the destructive joy ride.

Cabbage merchant and captain shocked

The captain was shocked when King Bumi rewarded Team Avatar.

Soon after, the captain ushered Team Avatar into the palace's throne room, introducing them to King Bumi as "juveniles [...] arrested for vandalism, traveling under false pretenses, and malicious destruction of cabbages". After making the announcement, the cabbage merchant raised his voice, demanding the execution of Team Avatar for the damage they had caused to his vegetables. The captain silenced the vendor, stating that only King Bumi was allowed to pass a judgement. To the surprise of everyone present, including the captain, the monarch ordered the accused to be freed and rewarded with a feast.[2]

Later, Bumi sent the captain to collect a large number of cabbages. As the soldier wandered around the streets of Omashu in frustration, wondering how to gather the vegetables, he chanced across a group of adventurers. Before they knew what was happening, he enlisted the group to gather 100 cabbages to get into the "good graces of our great King Bumi". To the soldier's luck, the group proved successful in aquiring the cabbages, whereupon they brought them to the palace. There, the captain was surprised to learn that Bumi actually had wanted 101 cabbages; 100 for Flopsie and one for himself. The king pardoned the captain for his mistake, but still wanted the missing vegetable. This time, however, the monarch tasked the adventurers directly.[1]
