"Night Animals" is a comic book that takes place in Book Three: Fire, originally released by Nickelodeon Magazine in April 2008[1] and later released by Dark Horse Comics in The Lost Adventures.
Overview
Having discovered Fire Nation troops patrolling Team Avatar's campsite, Appa and Momo take it upon themselves to protect their friends from danger.
Synopsis

- Sokka's sleep muttering of "... Not another dance party ... must stay on schedule ..." is an allusion to "The Headband".
- This is, when considered chronologically by the plot of the series, the second consecutive comic to allude to "The Headband", the previous being "Private Fire".
