Mitchel Tate Musso is an American actor, musician, and singer who provided the voice of Aang in the unaired pilot for Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Musso was born in Garland, Texas, the son of Katherine (née Moore) and Samuel Musso. He has two brothers — Mason Musso, lead vocalist in the band Metro Station, and Marc Musso, an actor. Musso was arrested on account of driving under the influence in October 2011, but was released sometime later.

Acting career[]

Musso made his acting debut in The Keyman in 2001, and later made his Hollywood film debut in 2003 in Secondhand Lions, alongside his brother Marc. He appeared alongside Chuck Norris in the TV movie Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire in 2005, and voiced DJ in the 2006 computer animated/motion capture film, Monster House. He also starred in three episodes of King of the Hill in 2007.

Musso is best known for his work with the Disney Channel, most notably starring as Oliver Oken in Hannah Montana; Jeremy Johnson in the animated series Phineas and Ferb; and his Disney XD role as King Brady Parker on Pair of Kings. He also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Life Is Ruff, released in 2005, and Hatching Pete, released 2009, and was the host of Disney Channel's PrankStars in 2011. Musso returned to work with Disney XD on the animated series Milo Murphy's Law in 2016.

Music career[]

During his time with Disney, Musso provided vocals on a number of songs, recording "If I Didn't Have You" with his Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment for the Disneymania 6 CD, and teaming up with his Hatching Pete co-star Tiffany Thornton to record "Let It Go" for use in the film. He also recorded the song "The Girl Can't Help It" for the Disney Channel Original Movie Princess Protection Program, and "Live like Kings" for the Disney XD show Pair of Kings.

Musso's self-titled debut album was released on June 2, 2009 on Walt Disney Records, debuting at number 19 on the Billboard 200.[2] In July and August 2009, he opened for his brother Mason's band Metro Station, and also launched a headlining tour that year, concluding September 24. Musso's second album, Brainstorm, was released on November 23, 2010.
