Hey Hanabi-chan. We're in the process of putting together a new issue of the Ba Sing Se Times, which we're looking to release sometime around the middle of the month. Your ship of the issue was a great addition to the canon side last issue. Will you be contributing anything similar this time around?
You probably received the badge some time ago, but I noticed it quite recently so I just wanted to congratulate you for receiving the Fully Fledged Avatar Badge, because as a fellow wise wikian once told me "While sure, badges aren't the most important thing on a wiki, it certainly takes dedication to win the badge."
I have spoken with the editor of the Ba Sing Se Times (as Minnichi told you earlier) and we would very much appreciate it should you make a special "Ship of the Issue" for a new issue. So basically, we want you to take your favourite ship, crack, canon or in between and review it for an issue. Would you be interested in contributing?
Hi. I would love to contribute but I will need to wait a couple of days before I can really start writing. I am on vacation currently and will have to fly back tomorrow which will probably take all day. But I would definitely love to contribute. Is there a certain deadline?
I hope the previous year have been nice for you and that you have had a good start this year. Anyway, the reason why I am writing to you is because I am a little curious about the future of your shipping blog, so will it continue or are you done with your "Ship of the Week" blog?
On a side note, is it just me or do we have an upcoming Fully Fledged Avatar :) ?
Yeah I understand, some of your later blog posts didn't have that many comments, however the question is was it because people had lost interest in your blog or because they didn't like those particular ships? Anyway, if you think it is boring to write them then I understand that you won't continue, but I want you to know that I liked your blog posts (even though I sometimes wrote my comments a bit late) and I think other people liked them too, I mean some of your blog posts achieved quite many comments.
Yes i figured that you were on your way to get that badge since you already have the energybending badge and because you seem to make at least one edit per day and I understand the difficulties in making edits when you are on vacation (had to do that myself a while ago). I also hope that you don't fail to make at least one edit per day, because (as you said yourself) it would really suck to lose all your progress which basically took you a year to achieve, so I wish you all the luck you can get in your achievement hunting :) .
Hey, sorry for popping in on something that's not my convo. But I just wanted to, first, say sorry for not keeping up with The Ship of the Week and second, make a suggestion.
Maybe if you ever start up again you can do a subscription list? I know that for me it was just a matter of forgetting to check the blogs for something new. If I got a message on my wall it would defiantly have been a good reminder. I don't know, just an idea. I've always enjoyed the shipping posts. :)
I don't see why not. All you have to do is crate a sandbox and link to it at the bottom of every post. I have a mass subscription list in a sandbox. It's for fanon, but same concept. You can see it here.
I will reply to this on your wall, as I find it pointless to involve Lady Lostris further or to continue this discussion on her wall as the location:
Could have been done after one of LL's previous warnings on either end.
No clear evidence of either backing away, seeing as it was only a few hours (and this is on a forum where ongoing conversations may have the next post a few minutes or a couple of days spanning the gap) between the final warning and Fruipit had the most recent post as of the final warning and we already have Fruipit continuing on the tangent in spite of at least a couple of warnings from LL already, and to be fair, she was largely perpetuating it anyways.
A slightly separate (but related) issue, though, sure, you do have a valid reason to be annoyed, just, there's plenty of those to go around. I don't really have any personal standing in it, nor am I close to any involved, but it's very annoying to me how that situation played out.
I did notice that Fruipit kept responding after LL asked that to be dropped and she probably should have moved that particular conversation elsewhere instead of continuing it. But this ended in drama and drama in general is just immature and should be avoided.
Duke of Skibbington pointed out to me your ongoing shipping blogs, and I do agree with him that it's the intriguing kind of thing we users would love to read in our newsletter! This isn't asking you to convert to BSST-exclusive blogs or something, but would you be interested in featuring some of your shipping analyses whenever an issue does publish? Sort of the same way an FRS reviewer sends a review occasionally to be highlighted more publicly.
Let me know what you think of contributing an article! We really like what you have going on :D
