  • Hello, I noticed you have deleted my fanfic for no reason. so what the hell? you have not even given me a reason

    • There is no need to become insulting. Your page has not been deleted, it can be found here - Fanon:Avatar: The Wrath of Shin. I simply renamed it to match the title case format you had in your article.

If the content is intended to be a chapter, I would suggest to make an individual page for it. Thus, the main page would be a general overview of your fanon, with each chapter on an individual page.

  • Hello,

I would like to propsose a meme section to the Posting Avatar Wiki: bit. I would like to do this beause people have started to post memes on General and I think it would keep the Wiki more organised. I know that the wiki has added a polls section recently, which is cool, but I think it will be good to add a meme section.

    Please consider this,

  • ? healing is clearly an umbrella term here and firebending healing should have it's own section rather than being pushed down the trivia section. it is not a trivial information at all, it is something not one but two benders can clearly do. are you suggesting me to create a page for only firebending healing? and call it what? firebending healing? so should we name the mainstream healing as waterbending healing?

But there's no evidence of fire energy reading actually "healing". To use computer terms it seems that fire energy reading is "read-only" while water healing is "read and write"

There is evidence. It is diagnosis. Which is used in areas relating to health and Kuruk was healed. We know that %100. Everyone who read Shadow of Kyoshi comes forward to say "hey firebenders can heal too" in the discussions on reddit.

Nyahitha hauled Kuruk to a campsite in the jungle and performed some kind of diagnostic ritual, guiding heat along his energy pathways similar to the way a Northern healer would use the water within a patient’s body. He confirmed what Kuruk had already guessed, that coming into contact with these dark creatures and destroying them was causing damage to his own spirit. Nyahitha repaired what he could but admitted a permanent toll would be taken each time another of these battles was fought.

There is really no point in discussing further if the quote above is not enough to convince that firebenders can heal but in a different way.

    • I am happy to concede that the technique is a form of healing, but the manner in which each technique works is different. As to the question of whether it should be listed on the healing article, my point is the same. The article concerns the waterbending technique of healing, not just healing in general. As I have said, if you feel the firebending technique should have its own article (with a change in name if appropriate), you are free to make it. Objection to having a combined article is not objection to having an article at all.

  • Hey, just wondering if there's some sort of archive search function for the profile image change discussion category. I'm intrigued as to what the rationale was for depicting Sokka in his Fire Nation hairstyle rather than the Warrior's Wolf Tail he sported when he had the choice to, and throughout the rest of his life? I'm just wondering if I can see how that decision was made, as well as for any future inquiries to avoid repeating a discussion that's already taken place. Thanks! That's rough, buddy. markus1423 (talk) 04:12, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

    • Not HoT, but you can find all post profile image discussion on the profile image change proposal page (there is this navigation bar at the top with links to all past archives). There is, however, no good way to search through them beyond visiting each page and see if a discussion about Sokka's image occurred.

That said, I can tell you that Sokka's current image has been the profile image for years, so you don't need to worry about rehashing any old discussion. If you have a better image in mind that depicts his overall character and appearance better than the current one, you are free to suggest a change, regardless of any previous discussion on the matter. Hope that helped.

  • Hey bro that stuff I was asking you about in regards to the creators confirming Korra is more powerful than Aang, someone on Youtube actually helped me during the weekend find it, it's on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CsDq4Bd6SQ

There's also this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWndhWKp-gM, which just goes through an analysis of the two while also giving the creators opinion.

  • Flameo! I wrote my first artcile for the wiki, the synopsis for the Escape chapter from RoK. I haven't posted it yet and I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to read it and tell me if it's ok to save. Can I send you some screenshots?

    • Not HoT but why would there be a problem with just uploading the content? Unless all the information is wrong, there's no reason it needs to be 'pre-approved' to be added to the wiki.

  • Hey HoT,

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to add a guideline to the Discussion Guidelines stating that the sharing of free online comic book websites is not allowed, as I believe that people think it ok to do so as there is currently no policy stating otherwise.

    Thanks.

      Loading editor
    • The third guideline already states that it is not acceptable.

      3. Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being banned.
Sharing any links to apps and/or sites where you can read, stream and/or download content that you otherwise would have to pay for is seen as piracy and not condoned. Those posts will be deleted and the poster will be warned not to repeat such action in the future. A continuous breach of this rule will result in your account being blocked.

  • The official artist of the Kyoshi novels has created an art piece portraying Kyoshi without her makeup (see here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCtn05alrOZ/ ). That would be a nice fit for the wiki, but I am not sure if we can use it as the image is published on the artist's private instagram, and not in the novels. However, she is the official artist, and we have very few illustrations for Kyoshi content anyway. Considering your experience, I thought that I ask for your opinion before uploading anything.

      Loading editor
    • Given that it is by the official artist, I see no problem using it. I think if we note it as concept art, that should be sufficient.

  • Hey bro I don't know if you'll responod to this but I'll just give it a shot.

So i was on Youtube looking asomeone commented sayingt videos from the Legend of Korra, and someone commented saying that the writers confirmed that Korra's avatar state is more powerful due to her connection to Raava, and Aang doesnt really have much character development compared to Korra who goes from Hotheaded and naive to more wise and calm.

I just want to know if it's true the writers confirmed both of these because while I favor Korra more (both character and show) I just to see if it's for my own sense of clarity? If it's not too much to ask

      Loading editor
    • Hmm, I don't recall any statements from the creators where they said that. Did the commenter give any indication of where they might have come from?

        Loading editor
    • Not really, reading their comments it looks like they used their own analysis (i dont know if i spelled that right) and they said the writers confirmed it in like 3 or 5 of their comments
