  • Hi, I would like to request to somehow delete Chapters 2-15 from my fanfiction since I'm currently rewriting it in Webtoon Format. https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Hikar%27s_Spiritual_Chronicles_chapters_(fanon)

Do you think you can do it?

    • Deleting the pages isn't a problem. Are you intending to remake the pages later on? If so, it might be easier to move them to your userspace.

        Loading editor
    • Maybe I'll remake New Cycle 2, but other than that, not really, they'll have different titles and content.

  • In fact, the authors called Kyoshi bisexual. Read the interview: ..."In the back of our minds we always thought Kyoshi was probably bisexual,” DiMartino says."...

    • Thank you for clarifying that. I was going off of what I remembered from the novel. I have undone the edit and added that link as an additional reference.

  • Sorry for being so much trouble with the improper references; the referencing system used here is a bit (okay, no, completely) different from any referencing system I've used on a wiki before. I sort of have just defaulted to what I know and left it to others to correct! Sorry about all of that. How does your referencing system work? I want to keep adding future material from the Kyoshi novel series without leaving pieces for you all to pick up after me.

    • Excellent job.

The main The Rise of Kyoshi page has the chapter numbers, and I might also add a list to the template documentation for future reference.

  • Hello, this is D-Bunk'd.

I added a note to Aang's page yesterday, and I noticed you added a reference to it. Thank you for that. :)

Out of curiosity, is adding a refernence to an ariticle addition something anyone could do, or is it something better left to the staff or at least someone that at least has a decent amount of experience at such things?

    Thank you ahead of time.

    • Adding references where they are needed is something anyone can do, whether that is episode references or references to external sites. So, if you feel a reference should be added, you are always welcome (and indeed encouraged) to do so.

        Loading editor
    • Well, I guess if I were to add another note included with a reference, one of my main issues would be figuring out how said reference should be numbered in the article.

        Loading editor
    • If by numbering you mean the [1] that appears on the article, this will be done automatically; it will number things in order of when they appear in the article, and group together references that are the same.

The reference policy page has links to the templates we use, each of which has documentation explaining how they work. You can also look at other articles to see how things are done; in many cases, I will often just copy over a reference from another article to ensure it is correct (and because I'm too lazy to type it out). And if you ever have any questions, myself or another user will always be happy to help.

  • Now that I'm supposed to do with the image, in the kitchen article there are more images piled up and even repeated (referring to the kitchen of the earth kingdom)

    What do I do now?

      Loading editor
    • I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. Would you be able to explain your question a little more?

To expand on my edit summary, the practice on the wiki is to avoid having two images directly next to each other, as it makes the article look cluttered and the focus should be on the text content. I kept the existing image over the one you added because it featured the particular dish more clearly, and thus serves the purpose better.

  • I apologize if i was being disrespectful. I tried my best to be civil and clearly explain my points. I understand you closing the thread, this is just an apology.

      Loading editor
    • The fault was not yours, there was nothing in your comments that would be considered disrespectful.

The topic of that thread has resulted in incivility several times before, and given that it was apparent it was not going to change, I felt closing it was the best option.

  • It was a theory on how the fire nation could’ve possibly reached the air temples since no one knows how the fire nation reached them during the comet. They didn’t have airships or tundra tanks back then.

      Loading editor
    • Exactly, it is just speculation and not based on an official source. The position of the wiki has always been against stating that we do not know something, as in this case, and only stating things that have been confirmed. Where no conclusion can be made either way, it is better to leave it blank.

Can I also ask that you discuss the point here rather than just reverting your edit back, to avoid an edit war.

  • Excuse me. Hello.

About what I did regarding the truth which you changed yesterday...

    Website to replace previous image

      Loading editor
    • I should be clear that, as I stated in edit summary, my edit yesterday was based on the fact that Grey DeLisle is listed as the VA for Mai's mother in the credits section for "Return to Omashu". I was not undoing your edit for no reason, or to intentionally list something incorrect.

I have looked into this a bit further online and there is conflicting information, with both actresses having been credited on different websites. I also haven't been able to find anything official stating who the VA was. Looking at the edit history for the page, it was added based on how the character sounds. I have listened to the episode and I agree with the conclusion that it is Grey DeLisle and not Tara Strong. If you disagree, I am happy to discuss the point further.

  • Did you just add to your profile that you are a fan of tea? You're such a walking British stereotype. Love it :-D

    • Haha.

Just need a userbox that says "This user likes bowler hats and wears a monocle" and I'll be all set.

  • Is there a source Nickelodeon is working on it? I think there's a possibility Netflix bought the rights.

      Loading editor
    • The IGN article referenced on the page says "Netflix will partner with Nickelodeon ..". The phrase "partner with" suggests to me a greater involvement from Nickelodeon that goes beyond just Netflix buying the rights.

        Loading editor
    • That makes sense, thanks!
