hiii i'm sorry to bother you but can you PLEASE teach me how to fix my code :)
whenever I edit something, the curly brackets always leave an extra blank one between the end of the infobox brackets and the normal text and everytime I try to delete it, it just goes back to adding a space there as soon as I save my changes. i feel really bad that people (mostly you haha) have to edit everything after me because I dont't know how to fix the code
Hi! Not Dcasa, obviously, but are you using the visual editor or the source editor? Visual editor will kinda look like what the final page will be like and source editor will look like a bunch of code. Your code problems are probably coming from using the visual editor.
Also, I just wanted to complement you on your attitude. It's refreshing to see someone so ready to edit and be willing to learn and better this wiki. I really respect it.
thank you for taking time to respond, both of you have been really helpful! i used to use the visual editor because it was easier to spot syntax and spelling mistakes for me, but after I realized that something wrong was happening with the code, i started switching over to the source tab, but for some reason it doesn't really make a difference. i know the right way it's supposed to look like but it just doesn't do that for me, but it only happens once in a while so thank you for fixing it everytime it happens haha
and techfilmer i really appreciate your compliment! it means so much to me that you said that because i always feel like i'm a burden, so thank you again :)
A small question: did you change your preferences to source editor or are you loading it in visual editor and then switching? If it is the latter, it might be that simply loading the page in VE is causing the additional spacing to be added. You can change to source editor as the default here - Special:Preferences.
that might be the problem, thank you for your help! when i try changing my preferences it gives me an error though, so I'm not really sure how to fix it then
it says this
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)from within function "User::saveSettings". Database returned error "1062: Duplicate entry 'Aryaguptaa' for key 'user_name' (geo-db-sharedb-master.query.consul)"
That could have something to do with your user rename. I noticed that even though you changed your name, the old one still appears. My suggestion would be to go to Special:Contact and submit an error report, since it would seem to be a Fandom-side problem rather than a wiki problem.
The issue of your edits adding and removing spaces unintentionally seems to have persisted. I would suggest to check again that your preferences were changed; editing in source mode should not make those changes.
hiiii i don't mean to annoy you but do you think that adding a new article labeled yellownecks would be beneficial or repetitive? you seem very knowledgable on the kyoshi books haha so i just wanted some input on if i should create one or not
I do see some inconsistency about comic characters categories, some having main/major/minor characters subcategories while others don't. However, that's not something I can 'restore', it would need to be created, although I suggest you ask the community first and propose your idea.
And before you messages all these people, you did come to me asking why it was deleted and I gave you the logical explanation of "it would be double work, since a revision of those categories will take place". As such, I don't understand why you keep messaging others requesting them to undo what you have labeled a "mistake" on my part.
Quick question: I see that you uploaded a new image of Ashuna. Do you have one of better quality than that? As it appears rather pixelated, so while the coloring may be more desirable in your upload, the overall quality is better in the previous version.
Haha, okay. Well, Obama is still in office until the end of the year, so... that's good. Not to mention Kanye f*cking West will run for the 2020 election, so... *sigh* Well, better start moving to Canada - oh wait, their immigration website crashed last night, lol.
Hey! As you know by having received a notification of my having rewritten "Dream of a Distant Past", I'm rewriting my fanon to smooth out some of the kinks, do away with some plot holes, and overall bring it up to a higher level of quality. As such, I now proudly present you the rewritten introduction of Seraphine. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Please give "Sun Rise, Sons Fall", new and improved, a read! As always, any commentary and constructive criticism is always appreciated.
