Kiku was a firebender and former street performer desperate to feed her family. She took to hunting the bounty of the supposed thief Qian Yu, but later agreed to help her get to safety.[1]
History[]
Kiku grew up in Sparrowkeet Station, a company town in Fire Nation territory on the Earth Kingdom continent. She lived a pretty happy life as a street performer until the Hundred Year War ended and her town dried up. Rather than supporting her town, Sparrowkeet Air CEO Yuzhen Sr. gave the order to remove her town from its flight paths, forcing Kiku to leave home to try and provide for her family.
Kiku traveled around the region trying to do good, but she found that doing good was exceedingly difficult, as evil couldn't just be punched in the face. In Boat Bottom, she heard of the high bounty placed on the thief Qian Yu, and formed a group with Taiki, Lan, Yuxuan, and Chesa, trying to track her down. When they met Qian Yu, she explained that she had taken an Air Nomad artifact from Sparrowkeet Air after she learned that they were going to sell it to the highest bidder. The group agreed to escort Qian Yu to Yu Dao so that she could deliver the artifact to Toph Beifong at the Beifong Metalbending Academy, who could in turn give the artifact to Avatar Aang.[2][3]

Kiku was a blunt and determined figure who cared about supporting her family above all else.[2]
Abilities[]
Kiku was a proficient firebender, and her signature fighting style was using flaming fists. During a fight, she could throw a punch with all her weight behind it to overwhelm her foes.[2]
