Biographical information
Personal life
Szarabajka was born in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Anne, a school teacher, and Edward Szarabajka, a savings and loan officer. He has two children, Caleb and Jack.
He attended the University of Chicago, as well as Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He studied acting further at the Organic Theater in Chicago between 1972 and 1978.
Career
Szarabajka's career began with an appearance in the TV movie Bleacher Bums, and in 1982 he had a supporting role in the Costa-Gavras film Missing. His first major role came with fifty-six episodes of The Equalizer between 1985 and 1989. He made an appearance in 2005 on the Fox drama 24, where he played Robert Morrison in two episodes, and appeared in five episodes of Cold Case between 2008 and 2010, as the character Pat Doherty.
