The jailer was a Fire Nation soldier whose primary weapon was a firebending staff. He wore an eye patch and was responsible for Lian while she was imprisoned in the Earth Kingdom.

The jailer encountered and battled Team Avatar in an attempt to prevent them from successfully breaking out of prison along with Lian. He was a powerful firebender, though his main attacks were basic fire blasts and lines of fire. Eventually, he was defeated by Aang when the young airbender ran around him repeatedly, only attacking when the jailer took it upon himself to rest.[1]
