| A random fanon story button will be put on the fanon main page. |

I feel like installing a Random Fanon Page button (if possible) on the Fanon Portal, because sometimes I feel like that would help people discover new and good fanons. It is also more convenient if you want to browse the fanons instead of going to the list of stories and reading through the list of stories to find one that sounds interesting. This button would just make it easier to sift through fanons and stories. Thoughts?

I think this is a pretty good idea. It would certainly help readers discover great fanons without the need to search everywhere. Besides, what's the harm in putting up such a button? This is Slash, mission complete! 21:51, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm stilltrying to figure out why I didn't come up with such a great idea. Adding such a feature would give not as known fanons a chance to be read. I support all the way.

- I support this. Per LoKnessmonster, we need the main page (perhaps only fanon pages with

- I am pretty indifferent about this, but if it were to be made, I am totally with Godsrule by saying that it should only go to main pages. There is no use of directing people to a random character or random chapter as no one will start reading chapter 8 from a fanon they don't know anything about. Lady Lostris /

If it's main fanon pages we're looking for, this feature will be far more difficult to make, since there are generally little to no distinctions between the different types of fanon pages.

I have just read through all of this, and this is a good idea! Godsrule is also right, I have seen many anons reading fanons and commenting. They, as he said, do not have the power to include such a button. With this though, everyone has the chance to have easy access to many fanons.

I would also like to add another proposal to this, change the random fanon button on MediaWiki:Gadget-fanonrandompage.js from "Special:Random/fanon" to say "Special:RandomInCategory/Story_pages_(fanon)" SixMoodyDwarves Voltorb Is Back! 23:28, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, it is, because the main pages are all in the category story pages and all the other pages are not, so you can use a random in category. TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 18:24, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

The decision is someone should add a button to the fanon portal main page that takes you to a random page in the category story pages
