The Fire Nation Relief Fleet is a charitable force funded by the Fire Nation government under Fire Lord Zuko and his successor, Fire Lord Izumi. It is headed by Admiral Dalja Ro of the Fire Navy.[1]
History[]
Some time before 164 AG, Admiral Dalja Ro of the Fire Navy rerouted ships to rescue civilians and provide medical aid after a volcano erupted and devastated the village at its base. The government was so impressed with their efforts that they tasked Dalja with organizing a fleet dedicated to aiding civilians during disasters.
Soon, the fleet was being dispatched to lend help after earthquakes, mine collapses, and tsunamis. Though Dalja remained an Admiral in the Fire Navy, the Fire Nation committed to funding the Relief Fleet for actions throughout the world, anywhere that needed its help.[1]
Organization[]
Although some in the Relief Fleet are officially part of the Fire Nation's military, it accepts anyone who wanted to help, including civilians and people of other nations. Dalja never turns anyone down, and is especially grateful when benders of elements other than fire offer up their services to help the fleet's efforts. Dalja often recruits graduates from their alma mater, the Royal Fire Academy for Girls.[1]
