Zihao is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Zihao is the Major who runs Fort Shengqi alongside Colonel Yansu in the Yu province.
History[]
Zihao joined the military when he became of age in the Qiangda Kingdom, like all men it was mandatory by law unless you lived in the Upper Ring or you were approved by the Scholar Board as a scholar within the Kingdom which exempted you from serving.
Over the years while serving he climbed the ranks and ended up finding himself in the Major rank. While his home state was not the Yu province he was sent to be stationed and fully run the famous and historical Fort Shengqi named after a great hero of the Haijun Dynasty time period with another brother-in-arms.
Three years into the war, Governor Wenhua Shangye ordered that Fort Shengqi will now be taking all recruits and training them. Which to Colonel Yansu and his friend Major Zihao felt that this destroyed the name of the Fort and the significance it held. Their opinions were never revealed however after they were trained here they were shipped off somewhere else.
General Tsuyo-sa visited Fort Shengqi one day on his way to visit other forts in the province. After he was briefed on the reports for the past week Yansu and the officer under him Zihao were ordered to take the legion of recruits toward the city of Bei Fu. While the number of soldiers was unknown in the city that was taken by enemy forces. The general felt confident the new recruits could take the city by force.
Yansu, Zihao, and the legion found themselves camped outside of the city surrounding the perimeter. The only reason the battle started overnight was because of Tribesmen scouts. The Kingsmen lost the battle with some of the men exhausted and others inexperienced this counted as a great loss to the Yu province.
Yansu and Zihao were killed by incendiary bombs dropped by a bombardier on a mammoth bustard soon after the remaining stragglers of the once legion surrendered themselves and fled the open fields in front of the city.

Zihao was born an earthbender, he mastered the bending form in the army several years later.
