Z.Z. is Azula's business associate, working with her for over twenty years. He is a nice man who's only flaw is his love of money and his obvious dislike of Yi. He has a wife and a child, Ti Koo.

History[]

Background[]

Z.Z. was born to a friendly noblewoman, raised in wealth and prosperity. He attended the Royal Fire Academy for Boys with Zuko, though the two rarely interacted. Z.Z. had an amazing talent in arithmetic, and his teacher was happy to tell his parents that Z.Z. was at an extremely advanced level. Realizing their son's potential, Z.Z.'s parents taught him all about business and money, and Z.Z. quickly decided he wanted to be a business associate of a royal person. He studied extensively from his youth all the way to the age of twenty-three.

Working for the Fire Lord[]

Fire Lord Azula noticed Z.Z.'s extensive work for the career, and Lo and Li, who were both in the last years of their life, told Azula that having a business associate would be a smart move. Azula was stubborn about the idea of having someone around who is smarter than her in a certain subject, though once she saw Z.Z., she developed a slight, but not major, romantic interest in him. Z.Z. was both oblivious to these feelings and did not return such feelings, though he was very happy to work with Azula. In this time, Z.Z. assisted Azula in the creation of Crispy Railway, organizing her wedding with Yin Lee, and much more. Coinciding with Azula's marriage to Yin Lee, Z.Z. married a noblewoman and had one child, Ti Koo, while Azula also had Chen and Mitsuki.

War with the Rebels[]

Z.Z. oversaw the reward Azula planned for Yi after he would "defeat" Team Rebel. While on the Royal Jet he showed a bitterness and dislike towards the general, and he was apparently satisfied when Azula forced him to stay away from the Capital. Z.Z. is also present at Azula's emergency war meeting. Z.Z. calculates the damage, and tells Azula that it is worth 1.2 million gold coins. Z.Z. then leaves with everyone else when Azula and Mitsuki discuss Mitsuki's back-up plan alone.

Non-canon Appearances[]

Z.Z. briefly appeared in the non-canon special, Clash of Worlds. He only appears in Part 2, in which he is seen turning down Azula's orders to check what is in Yino's bag, stating that he is a business associate, not a searcher. The concept of Z.Z. being a business associate greatly confuses Yino, though Azula quickly shuts Yino down.
