Yua is a Airbending who resides at Air Temple Island. She was born in 197 AG to Kai and Jinora. She became her mother's protege to one day take care of the Air Nomads. She became apart of Team Avatar alongside Zhengyi, Jiu, Kanna II and Aiya.

Yua was born in 197 AG to Kai and Jinora. She was raised at Air Temple Island. Yua didn't remember much about Korra, being only two years when she passed in 199 AG. Since Yua's mother was the leader of the Air Nation, Yua felt like she had a long on her shoulders to fill. For most of her life, she was a only child, until her little sister Samaya was born in 209 AG, and her little brother Lai in 211 AG. Yua wasn't real a skilled air bender, and had a poor connection to the Spirit World.
In 213 AG, Yua asked her mother if she could earn her tattoos. Jinora declined, saying she had to train more. Yua pushed herself to work hard, and earned them in 215 AG. When Zhengyi and Jiu came, she fell in love with Jiu. The two got married in 224 AG, and she had a son named Kalzang in 227 AG.
