Wang-Mu Warriors, is an age-old martial arts cult that transcends the boundaries of the warring kingdoms of Earth. Although most of their members are of the Haijun Kingdom, they're secluded and seek philosophy, martial arts, and religion. They are devoted to worshipping Sha Quan and mastering their art. With the civil war, they've been forced by the Haijun Kingdom to teach their art form to non-bender soldiers. During the Qiangda Dynasty, centuries later, they're protected by the government of the province of Kunlun. They're seen as an ancient dying cult. They're minor characters in the fanon Avatar: Civil Strife and Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan, where they're only mentioned.
History[]
Little is known about the Wang-Mu warriors, their founders built a temple on top of Wang-Mu Summit in the Kunlun province. They're a pious cult who solely worship the Goddess of the Ten Killing Fists, Sha Quan. They have used different ancient earthbending styles from different regions of the kingdoms to form their own style.
In Avani's lifetime, it is known the Haijun Dynasty forced them to train the Haijun non-bending military into mastering their art form. It was to give them an advantage over the Oma Kingdom non-benders. By Rong Yan's time, they're protected by the government of Kunlun province, and have mostly remained secluded no longer being seen in public.
Sha Quan[]
It is believed that the goddess worshipped by the cult is actually the founder of the organization. However, it is not known whether or not this is true, the Wang-Mu Warriors are one of the few cults that don't worship the Haijun or Oma Kingdom official pantheons.
