Thunderstorm By The Snowbold Part of the The Rise of Lirin continuity.

Ursa is the no-nonsense Crown-Princess of the Fire Nation as of 298 AG. She is the older sister of Avatar Lirin.

History[]

Ursa is the firstborn child of Fire Lord Zorin and the heir to the throne. Her mother was a Kyoshi Warrior and governor of the island and also granddaughter to Avatar Tala. Raised from birth to rule, she has always taken life and responsibility seriously. She mastered firebending at an incredibly young age.

Her younger brother was born when she was five and soon his mother passed away while she was only 12. Ursa taught her brother firebending well, such that he mastered the element at fifteen. It was then that he was revealed to be the Avatar. Ursa was at first supportive of this, but grew exhausted at the work of managing Lirin's affairs and cleaning up his messes.

Lirin's womanizing was a constant argument between the two as she insisted that she didn't want children of the servants that looked like her when she was Fire Lord. Ursa took on part of a mother's role for Lirin by strictly enforcing her father's rules on her wild brother.

Abilities[]

Ursa was a prodigious bender and a great leader and tactician. Her followers loved her and many wanted her to become the Fire Lord she was destined to be. To further learn how to rule, Ursa became Grand General of the Army in order to understand command of large hosts.

Ursa is a powerful firebender with incredible skill and knowledge of arcane techniques including the ancient Wrath of Fire.

Notes[]

  • Ursa is the honorable type. She believes in a strict code of honor and conducts herself and expects others to follow it as well.
  • Ursa has taken a mother role for Lirin since his mother passed.
  • Although Lirin and Ursa are half-brother and sister, they are still related because both of their mothers were cousins who were granddaughters of Avatar Tala.
  • Ursa was seen as the perfect child by many, even Lirin, she followed the rules, she didn't dishonor her family, and she always tried to the best of her abilities.
