The Triumvirate of War are a group of three of the highest-ranking generals amd one commander loyal to current ruling monarch of the Oma Kingdom. They're minor characters in the fanon Avatar: Civil Strife.
History[]
The Triumvirate was founded by Queen Oma when she along with the villagers stood united as one to construct Omashu after the death of Shu. The Triumvirate consists of three representatives from different parts of the Oma Kingdom and remains loyal to the Oma Kingdom. Originally, the Triumvirate was a Quadvirate with Queen Oma as it's commander. The Triumvirate is led by a commander during times of great strife for the Oma Kingdom, and when not it's council members are equal in authority.
The Triumvirate works with the Minister of Defense within the city of Omashu, they hold authority over the City Guard, the Royal Berserkers, and the Provincial Guard. But they hold no authority over the barbarian clans, their representatives deploy clan numbers by request of the Earth King.
The Siege of Laofung[]
During the Siege of Laofung, Lieutenant-General Bu Lu, was the coordinator of this battle but it resulted in a loss after losing two-thirds of the army. The remainder of the men were slaughtered by the reinforcements coming in from Zhong Tai province.
The Fall of Guandi[]
Brigadier-General Yun coordinated with Gan to complete an assassination mission to kill Governor Bei Luyou and eliminate the chain of command vie explosion. Giving Gan four hours to complete the mission, Gan gathered his team and went into the city, four hours later, after their mission was completed Yun assaulted the city in the wee hours of the evening.
When the Captain of the Zhoukou Provincial Guard's scout saw the 35,000 soldiers that came to siege the city, the captain made the decision to surrender the city to the Oma Kingdom.
Losing Garsai[]
Lieutenant-General Bu Lu coordinated the defense of the city of Garsai from the Xian-Haijun coalition that came to invade the capital of East Hu Xin. While the city was under attack and unbeknowest to several districts across the underground city, within a few days the city was being conquered by the natives who call the city home. Bu Lu fled the city after Chief Bei Dou Ni was killed in combat with a few stragglers who've returned to Omashu. Yeman welcomed Bu Lu back with open arms until he tricked him and decapitated the losing warlord in front of the Court of the Clans.
Trivia[]
- The inspiration of the Triumvirate came from a Chinese triumvirate during the Han Dynasty. Huo Guang, Jin Midi, and Shangguan Jie established themselves as the Chinese triumvirate following the death of Emperor Wu of Han.
- Jun Zhang means "army commander" in Cantonese.
- Bu Lu means "division, major" in Cantonese.
- Yun means "inner strength" in Cantonese.
- Ji Du Wei means "commandant of the calvary" in Cantonese.
