| "What in Torngark's name are those men doing here? There's no way Cupun deployed troops on Qiangda Kingdom soil, and their uniforms are too dark to be Southern troops." |
| — Thod told himself in Chapter 19: The Campaign of Two Nations Part 1: Royal Matrimony. |
Thod is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Thod is the Ambassador to the Qiangda Kingdom and is a representative of the Northern Water Tribe.
History[]
The noble house of Thod gains its wealth through both diplomacy and tea-making. While Thod is a career diplomat his son who is the heir apparent to the house name and wealth is a business owner owning tea shops across the city. Up to seven tea shops, and manufactures tea bags, harvesters are sent around the nation's regions to collect the herbs and then make tea bags to sell to his tea shops and even export them around the world.
Thirty Year War[]
Thod was an active diplomat in the Thirty Year War as well during the peace talks between the North and Qiangda Kingdom. He met with Avatar Ku Tei a few times, while they found a way to negotiate a ceasefire to permit Ku Tei to give chase to Senlin and kill him.
Instead, Senlin was captured and arrested instead of executed. Many years later, it shocked Thod to learn Senlin still lived and was now the problem once more.
Campaign of Two Nations[]
Siku ordered Thod to leave Aupaluk to convince Qiang Zhen about the events that transpired. Rong Yan escorted Thod to the Southern Water Tribe embassy where Naartok sent him on his personal mammoth bustard to Ba Sing Se.
Thod flew over Hankou and noticed the Palartok Loyalists and mistaken them for northern troops. He thought Elder Noa illegally deployed soldiers against Cupun's authority. When he passed by the Baiyan Air Temple, he noticed a troop of Qiangdian troops marching north toward the beaches. He felt terrible when he realized the defense would be slaughtered by the northern soldiers.
Thod arrived in Ba Sing Se in a few days to meet with Minister Iglaak where he shared the information with him about the northern troops. Both men were scared of what was going on. They met with Lord Guwen and the Council of Five, and explained what happened.
Both men were accused of lying when suddenly a report from the governor of Hankou arrived, it said the troop he sent out to the northern coast of the kingdom were slaughtered by the platoon. He also mentioned a fleet of ships have entered northern waters and anchored on the beaches of Hankou province.
Guwen had Iglaak and Thod arrested for espionage saying if they want to be released then Cupun will have to request their release when he talks with Qiang Zhen at the Baiyan Air Temple. A week later, Cupun and Qiang Zhen meet at the Northern Air Temple. During the negotiations, Qiang Zhen releases Iglaak and Thod to Cupun's custody.
Qiang Zhen declined peace and wanted justice for the civilians imprisoned, deported and killed. He wanted justice for his heir apparent and thus declared war on the Northern Water Tribe. After this Thod returned home to rest and stayed home with his family while Cupun and the others worked on what came next.

Thod was born a waterbender who was taught at the age of five, he mastered waterbending at the age of sixteen. Along with other children he was taught to survive in the frozen wastelands of the North Pole. Taught to make tools, use the tools, hunt, cook and build a home.
Thod had a desire for diplomacy and was a skilled communicator, being an extrovert and social butterfly furthered his career in diplomacy. Throughout the years, he met with world leaders and even Ku Tei. He was one of the geniuses behind the ceasefire between the Qiangda Kingdom and the Water Tribes to permit Ku Tei to kill Senlin.
