Therak is a character in Avatar: Age of Kyoshi. He is a waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe employed as the captain of the guard in the Water Tribe Embassy in Ba Sing Se.
The character is played by AtlasNL.
Appearance[]
Therak is about 1.98m (6'5"), with short brown hair, blue eyes and a beard. He has a long scar across the left side his face which he got while fighting a group of Daofei that he was hired to kill, and another one on the right side on his jaw that he got during one of the many battles during the war. He has lighter skin than the average Water Tribesman due to his mother being of Fire Nation descent. He wears his Embassy uniform while on duty, and a blue Water Tribe style tunic and leather boots when not. He always wears his sword on his right side.

History[]
Therak was born on the Winter Solstice of 295 (Southern hemisphere) together with his sister. They grew up in a small village at the northernmost tip of the Southern ice sheets. From a young age Therak learned to sail, heal and hunt with spears, his bending and the bow and arrow, though archery and healing never really caught on, he did excel at fighting with swords and clubs. His mother, the daughter of a renowned master swordsman taught him how to use the jian. When Therak turned fourteen he went ice dodging with his father and earned the mark of courage by sailing through a strong current between two icebergs. When Therak turned 18 he went to the Northern Water Tribe and Fire Nation to learn about his sister tribe and his mother's homeland. He spent two years traveling the world before returning home after a shipwreck. Not a long while later he set out to the Earth Kingdom and became a mercenary during Chin‘s War, which he did for eight years until being hired to guard the Water Tribe Embassy.
Currently a fanfic is being written about his adventures during his time in the war.
Personality[]
Therak will never back down from a challenge, even if it's not good for his health. He is a bit of a hothead, quite introverted and takes time to trust people.
