Tenzin is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. He's the new subprior of the Baiyan Air Temple.
History[]
Tenzin learned about soundbending in the libraries of the Northern Air Temple after a year of becoming a master. He spent three years mastering it alone in seclusion after becoming a master of calamity he was caught one evening and then exiled. After he received his exile tattoo he was kicked out of the temple.
Eventually, he found himself in Ba Sing Se, where he lived for several years and became a professor on history at Ba Sing Se University. Years later, a young Air Nomad girl came to the city looking for the author of some book. That little girl was Aloi, he took her in and fed her while he contacted the Sum Pa elders to have someone come retrieve her safely.
During those few days he taught Aloi history and the basics on the soundbenders including the Vibrant Ones. She gifted a few scrolls which she later convinced the elders not to burn.
Decades later, after the schism in the Northern temple when the ceremony ritual for choosing the next subprior occurred. R'Kang received a vision of young Tenzin as the next subprior to replace Agu. An exile being reinstated into the Northern Air Temple has not happened in centuries. Tenzin was present when the ceasefire meeting was at the Baiyan Air Temple, although he wasn't involved much in the meetings as Yeshe and R'Kang were.
Abilities[]
Tenzin was born an airbender and mastered airbending as a young man at the age of 17. At 21 he discovered soundbending and mastered the calamity branch of soundbending by the time he was 25. When he was caught in the act he was exiled from the Baiyan Air Temple. He also had an interest in history and after he was exiled he found his place in the Ba Sing Se University where he taught the history of the Qiangda Kingdom and the Air Nomads.
