Tako is a minor character in the fanon, Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Tako is one of the few fishermen within Unaraq's crew.

History[]

Tako is one of the five other fishermen within Unaraq's fishing crew. Tako, is an identical twin with another named Sake. A few days before they joined Unaraq's crew he was struck in the head by a large piece of ice that put him in a coma. The cause was his brother wrestling a large fish that slapped the iceberg and caused for that piece to crumble off.

A year later, they finally join the crew he has gone from having a similar personality like his brother changing into a more eccentric and weird person. Constantly claims that he's the self proclaimed octopus slayer saving the Water Tribe many times from giant octopi and squids who've invaded Iqaluit waters. Along the short journey on the Yantai River where he and his crew run into Team Avatar he relays a few tall tales of all the times he's slain monsters. The only actual evidence of Tako actually killing an octopus was revealed by his brother Sake who mentions his twin stepped on a baby octopus and killed it.

His strange obsession with killing the baby he wore it around his neck for quite awhile as his 'grand' trophy. Eventually the corpse decayed but he's kept one tentacle stashed in his shack back in Iqaluit preserved in snow. He has a reputation for being a liar and it is due to the blow he took at a younger age.
