Taika is a member of the Order of the White Lotus and Avatar Avani's firebending master. Taika is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: Civil Strife.
History[]
Taika found residence in the city of Ba Sing Se while under the membership of the Order of the White Lotus, there he was summoned along with other members to provide the testing for the children of the Upper Ring four years after Avatar Keirou's passing. Taika along with other members tested each child until they discovered Avani as the Avatar.
Taika was assigned to be the firebending master to the new Avatar and soon after her father helped her master earthbending it was his turn. Taika spent three years helping Avani master firebending, although his student is a master he can still notice she needs to tweak her bending a bit. Even as a fully-realized Avatar Avani still trains and spars with Master Taika but sometimes her rebellious personality gets on her master's nerves.
Taika argues with Avani during a spar when she breaks the rules she agreed to which were to only use firebending. During this he explains to her that she'll never amount to being a great Avatar if she continues to impulsively attack without a strategy. Avani counter the argument by mentioning that she'll use the Avatar State to defeat her enemy even the Taika brings her back to reality and makes a remark that she barely survived the battle against barbarians that attacked Suzhou City in Duryaja province.
Abilities[]
Taika was born a firebender he mastered firebending by the time he was 21, at that point in time he was recruited into the Order of the White Lotus where he learned the true meaning of firebending. He became a full-fledged master at the age of 35, by this time he was training other recruits of the Order.
When the Avatar was discovered he was assigned to assist the young girl in mastering the element of fire.
