Elder Siku is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Elder Siku is a councilwoman in Cupun's Court of Elders and becomes the leader of the Court in Chapter 19.

History[]

Not much is known of Elder Siku, her noble house holds a seat in the Court of Elders. She took her father's position when he died of a heart attack in 697 BG at the age of 40. Siku's noble house owns the mines outside of the Aupaluk region. Her lands consist of the northern Uguruk where coal is being mined to power various contraptions in use of the Northern Water Tribe. Also while her house miners are responsible for supplying the First fleet of the north with coal to power their warships once under the command of Admiral Palartok.

The mines in the southern Anugi region bordering with the Irringuaa region contain copper, silver, and gold which is sent off to the city. Where smelters produce the currency for the country. After Elder Noa was arrested for treason Elder Siku was given his seat in the court and made the leader of the Court of Elders. Which in turn also made her adviser to Chief Cupun himself, her bravery and rejection of the deportation orders granted her the position.

Elder Noa's Treachery[]

When Amak's body was found and the investigation deemed it to be an assassination, Cupun anointed Noa in charge of what happens next. The unrest occurred in Cupun's palace an hour later, Ambassador Dashi was accused of espionage and arrested despite having diplomatic immunity. Elder Noa and the other nobles agreed to debate on what occurs next in his estate. He even went as far as to threaten Ambassador Thod and Avatar Rong Yan with arrest. The next morning, a meeting in his estate with the Court of Elders agreed 5 - 1, for deportations of all Qiangda Kingdom citizens.

The other elders were panicking while Elder Siku remained calm and wanted to make decisive moves instead of panicking impulsive moves. A panic vote won to deport all citizens the next day.

Captain Sokka was ordered to begin deportations in the city and take an entire week or two to begin deportations in the country. If Sokka refused he would be stripped of his rank for refusing orders and arrested for word against the Chief. Sokka mobilized the royal guardsmen to begin deportations with the assistance of lower-class guardsmen.

Avatar Rong Yan visited Siku in her home and told her about everything he's witnessed even visiting Dashi in prison along with Tanaraq and Thod. Dashi told them the scroll was fake, Siku called in her scribe to have a letter written to the King from Siku.

Then she ordered Rong Yan to tell Thod to head off to Ba Sing Se since only an Elder had the power to order people around. She told Rong Yan about a favor Naartok owed her, Rong Yan escorted Thod to the Southern Water Tribe embassy where Naartok sent Thod off to Ba Sing Se on his personal mammoth bustard.

Avatar Rong Yan, caught wind of this after he and Naartok sent Thod off to Ba Sing Se, by orders of Elder Siku, to speak with Earth King Qiang Zhen. Rong Yan attempted to save a woman and assaulted the guards who tried to split her from her family. Rong Yan was arrested by the guards and thrown in prison for a week.

When Cupun looked for Rong Yan and Thod, Elder Noa lied to him and said he sent Rong Yan to Ba Sing Se with Dashi to speak with the Earth King. He was unaware of where Thod was. A report arrived to Noa from Sokka. While the nation's deportations went smoothly with only a few being arrested, and there were also ten casualties of daofei who attacked the soldiers in Uvliruk, Anugi region.

Cupun held a meeting with Naartok, Unirak, Anatkuk, and Unaraq and wanted to share the news with Unirak. Aloi arrived to interrupt the meeting to bring the bad news to Cupun when she reported the information he thought she lied to him. Naartok spoke up and vouched for Aloi claiming her information as truth.

This angered Cupun, he called for Thod, Rong Yan, Dashi, Siku, and Sokka. The guards relayed to him that Noa had Sokka arrest Dashi, and Rong Yan, and deport citizens across the North Pole. Cupun remembered when the seer in the city's kashim warned him of treachery in the tribe. The Demon King of Trickery's prediction of the future became reality.

Elder Siku shared what she remembered from the events that occurred while Amak's body was being buried and while Cupun mourned for his nephew's death and prepared for his son's wedding. Dashi and Rong Yan were released from prison by Warden Sangok. Sokka revealed the threats from Elder Noa, and said he was forced to complete orders are he'd be arrested for refusing orders.

The deportations went smoothly while only ten civilians were killed, which angered Cupun even more. He sent Dashi to Ba Sing Se and called for Noa to appear, he chewed Elder Noa out and told him he endangered the tribe and was now a traitor. Cupun had Noa arrested for treason, which was punishable by death.

Instead of going with the court right away Cupun focused on his son's wedding first. The afternoon after the wedding Elder Noa's trial occurred. Everyone who was wronged by Noa testified against him. Warden Sangok was ordered to execute Dashi and imprison the Avatar for twenty-five years and never speak of it.

When the witnesses testified against Noa, the Court of Elders was proven innocent and released while Noa was proven guilty and given an execution. In his final effort, Noa challenged Cupun to an Atanerkugia, a challenge for the throne. Which placed the chiefdom and inheritance of Prince Tulok on the line.

Campaign of Two Nations[]

After Siku was promoted to adviser she closely watched and advised Cupun. Eventually came a letter from Hegumen R'Kang, requesting for Cupun to meet with Qiang Zhen at the Baiyan Air Temple.

When they flew over the northern coast of Hankou province they saw the Northern loyalists who set up their outpost on the coast. They continued to the air temple where the peace talks were being held. Both world leaders disagreed amongst themselves and the Earth King declared war on the Northern Water Tribe. Even threatening him by raiding Aupaluk, Siku hugged a teared up Dashi promising her the peace will come again soon.

Abilities[]

Elder Siku was born a waterbender who mastered the art at the age of 16, she was taught politics by her father at a young age. Showing proficiency and desire to be a politician, Siku became the heir to her noble house.
