The Shimai Sisters are two spirits of Air, Seelah and Tsumi, and as their name suggests, sisters. They took the mortal forms of two young women, but can revert to their spirit form at will.
History[]
The Sisters are ancient spirits, and thus very knowledgeable. They took their mortal forms very close to the beginning, and are the patrons of Airbending as Tui and La are to Waterbending.
The two Sisters contrast each other greatly, keeping each other in balance, just like their counterpart spirits of Water, Earth, and Fire.
Some time after the Air Nomad Genocide, the sisters met Ai, one of the last surviving Air Nomads.
Personality[]
Seelah and Tsumi differ greatly, but balances each other out. Seelah is the calmer of the two, always trying to solve problems through thought and reasoning, while Tsumi is more likely to act on instinct and impulse.
Appearance[]
The Sisters are practically identical, except for the colour of their hair. They both are beautiful spirits, taking the form of graceful young women. They have long, mist like hair, Seelah's being silver white and Tsumi's onyx black. They have pale white skin and big golden orbs. They both wear long robes which seem to be made of shadow. Each also wears a conical rice hat decorated with a flower.
Trivia[]
- Seelah and Tsumi are based on Seliah Jade and Tsuminohime, respectively.
- "Shimai" means "sister" in Japanese.
