Saoirse Pathuk is a switch dual bender of fire and water born in the Southern Water Tribe to Prince Zuko and Sokka. Saoirse is the older sister of Kiara, granddaughter of Ozai and Bato, niece of Katara and Azula, elder cousin of Amaya and Kida, great-great-granddaughter of Avatar Roku, and the half-niece of Maya and Melody.

In terms of appearance, Saoirse has her father's skin color, hair color, and eye color and is the second character to be born a mix of one of the Water Tribes and the Fire Nation, with the first being her Aunt Maya and the third being her younger cousin, Amaya.

History[]

Early Life[]

Maya was born in the Southern Water Tribe to Zuko and Sokka on the Autumn Equinox, under the glow of a blood moon and an aurora australis, ten years after the Hundred Year War was over. This was considered to be an incredibly lucky omen to waterbenders, as they are usually born at night when their powers were strongest.

By the time she was one year old, Saoirse was already sneezing snow flurries and sparks, unlike her Aunts Azula and Katara who started bending when they turned four and five respectively. When she was old enough to walk, at the age of 5, Saoirse received training from her parents and her aunts and soon became one of the most talented benders in the world. At this age, she gained a younger sister, Kiara,

Childhood[]

Despite not growing up during the war, Saoirse was still worried about those who did grow up having to fight.

Despite not growing up during the war, Saoirse was still worried about those who did grow up having to fight.

Unlike when her aunts, Maya and Katara, were children, Saoirse was shy and loved to hear stories of her ancestors. She was very book smart; eager to learn new things, and caught onto how to do adult chores by the time she was nine years old. From the early age of 8 1/2, Saoirse loved to cook and make clothes, and she was always coming up with new designs or recipes.

Like her uncle Aang, Saoirse was something of a pacifist and hated fighting, instead deciding to use her bending for household chores or for self-defense. As the granddaughter of the current Avatar, Saoirse incorporated bending styles from all four elements into her firebending, even managing to produce lightning.
