Overview[]

Avatar: Rising Sun is a post and pre-A:TLA fanon alternating between following its main character Kaizon before and during the war, and after the war, as Kaizon and Team Avatar struggle to fight a new threat from across the sea to the east in the Earth Kingdom

Plot[]

As Team Avatar fight Earthbenders intent on taking revenge on the Fire Nation for their transgressions during the Hundred Year's War. Kaizon, a former colonel and Diplomacy Minister of the Fire Nation's Grows from pacifist boy to an old, expereienced, and determined seeker of justice.

Avatar Aang: The thirteen year-old current Avatar, Katara's boyfriend
Katara: fifteen year old waterbending master, princess of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang's teacher and girlfriend
Sokka: Heir-apparent to the Chieftainship of the Southern Water Tribe, Piandao's pupil, Zuko's best friend, and Katara's Brother
Suki: Leader of the Kyoshi Warriors
Toph: Greatest earthbender in the world, Aang's earthbending sifu
Zuko: Fire Lord, Aang's Firebending Sifu, Sokka's best friend, Mai's boyfriend

Fire Nation[]

Lord Kaizon, governor of Shu Jing, Diplomacy and Culture minister of the Fire Nation, and main character of this series, he is immortal. (Though he can still die from sickness, physical wounds, and no longer wanting to stay immortal; he is immortal, not invincible. I got the idea from Lao Ge, who is an immortal assassin who kills bad leaders in Rise of Kyoshi.)
Mai: Zuko's grilfriend
Azula: Zuko's mentally unstable sister
Ursa: Zuko's mother, banished by Zuko's father, Ozai, and still yet to be found.
Piandao: Great swordsmaster, Sokka's sifu
Iroh: Zuko's uncle and his father figure.
Kano: Kaizon's best friend
Sanaki: Kaizon's other best friend and his love interest.
Luzen: Kaizon's friend and swordfighting classmate.
Yin: Kaizon's friend, an acrobatics master
Fire Sage Pianlu: Kaizon's swordfighting and later fire-bending teacher
Jin: Kaizon's mother
Ryozu: Kaizon's dad and Diplomacy minister before him
Konishi: Ryozu's faithful servant and friend, also Kaizon's "little father", taking care of him when Ryozu is away, which is very often. Sanaki's dad.
