Paoshou Gongyi is a minor character in the fanon, Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Paoshou is the son of the governor of Chu province.
History[]
The Gongyis came to power after the Oma Kingdom killed Governor Yiqian, before the ceasefire was placed. His mother Chixu held the seat for a several years before she passed on. The Gongyis made money from manufacturing paper-based products to schools, offices, and other services.
Spreading his family lineage to one child, Zhuan has been governor of the province for over forty to fifty years. Paoshou was born in Paoshou his son leads the family business now and someday Zhuan's granddaughter will run it. Zhuan's province is known for the production of bricks and craftsmanship that exported to other parts of the Kingdom and world.
Battle for Shouchun[]
Governor Gongyi and his family were having a normal day at home when the Qiangda Kingdom attacked with 80,000 soldiers. The Terra Team were sent to persuade Zhuan to secede from the Oma Kingdom or kill him. Such a move would've reestablished a foothold the Qiangda Kingdom would have near Omashu province. If they failed to convince him they would've assassinated him and his heir and Dimian would take hold of Chu as the interim-governor until Qiang Zhen elected one.
He expected a small number invasion but was evacuated with his family to his secret bunker. After the provincial guard were deployed he was taken to the sewers with his family. Zhuan had directed orders to his men to send a call to arms to Fort Gohun nearby but Senlin intercepted it and brought reinforcements of 200,000 men. Eventually, they reached the bunker ten men locked themselves with the governor and his family while another twenty sat outside and guarded the bunker.
Dimian and the Team killed all the guards and he ordered Shing to destroy the bunker door, so they could drag out Zhuan Gongyi. The old governor was handed a hand cannon by his son, the firearm was found in some crates where blasting jelly and pellets were found. The old man was surrounded by ten of his guards inside as he waited to defend his family.
When the door had a hole in it Senlin appeared to prevent Dimian and his men from getting inside the bunker. When Shing finally broke down the door he was met with a spray of cast iron pellets that instantly killed him. Which triggered the fury inside Dimian and the other members of the team. Each slowly falling one by one in the battle to Senlin and the estate guards in the bunker. It was discovered that few of the Terra Team members could bend the cast iron pellets and Dimian prevented the death of Qiji on the first attempt as he ceased the trajectory of the pellets. In the end, Dimian met his fate and was shot in the chest with the hand cannon by Gongyi. Once the Oma Kingdom won, Gongyi ordered the heads of the men be sent to the Governor Zhinan of the Ru province.
Abilities[]
Paoshou was born an earthbender and mastered the element at the age of 17, he's a business man who runs the family business while his father is in power as governor of Chu. Paoshou also knows a ton of governship and politics and will soon one day be governor of Chu.
