Nuinai is Avatar Yang's pet albino saber-tooth moose lion. He was Team Avatar's primary means of transportation and could carry up to five people due to his large size.
History[]
Early life[]
Nuinai was born in the Southern Earth Kingdom wilds in 207 AG, at only a few months old his parents where killed by hunters, the hunters where about to kill him too until Avatar Yang saw that he was in danger and started Earth bending rocks at the hunters which knocked back the hunters allowing Yang to quickly grab the endangered Nuinai and make a quick escape. Yang gave Nuinai food, which formed a bit of trust between them, Nuinai then went up to Yang and snuggled with him and they fell asleep together which formed a deeper bond, with no parents and no one to look after the baby Nuinai, Yang took it upon himself to parent Nuinai which resulted in them becoming lifelong companions.
Personality[]
Due to Nuinai being parented by Yang from a young age Nuinai was domesticated and friendly towards humans unlike how adult saber-tooth moose lions in the wild are towards humans. He has a very strong bond with Yang and is relatively friendly with most people and animals, but is very aggressive if he feels like him or anyone who he has a strong bond with is threatened. Nuinai had a fear off swimming in deep waters and did not like sailing or flying over water.
Abilities[]
Strength[]
Due to Nuinai's large size he was heavy and had brute strength. He has a friendly nature so he uses his strength rather than his claws and teeth which would have result in much more fatal injuries, he charges into enemies to knock them back or uses his head or body to knock enemies back, he is also capable off charging right through walls.
Stamina[]
Nunai had great stamina, he was able to run for many miles. One demonstration is when he ran non stop from Gaoling all the way to Misty Palms Oasis.
Trivia[]
- Nuinai comes from the Chinese word Niúnǎi which means milk.
- Nuinai is a hybrid between a moose, lion & saber-tooth cat.
