Fire Lady Lisanna Caldera was a Fire Nation noblewoman of Water Tribe ancestry and the Fire Lady before Ilah. She was the wife of Fire Lord Sozin, and the mother of Azulon. Lisanna was the paternal grandmother of Crown Prince Iroh and Princess Ursa, grandmother-in-law of Ozai, and great-grandmother of Prince Lu Ten, Prince Zuko, and Princess Azula. Lisanna never got the chance to see her son ascend to the throne or meet any of her grandchildren, because she passed away from disease when Azulon was eighteen years old. The illness that caused her death was later confirmed to be the same one that caused Ilah's death.
History[]
Lisanna as a teenager
Hardly anything is known about Lis' or her past, but it was said that she was the daughter of a famously wealthy nobleman and was known to be the most beautiful girl of her generation. For most of her childhood, she traveled to the South Pole during the winter to visit relatives and further her waterbending. When Fire Lord Sozin ascended the throne, she married him with love filling her heart. Following their marriage, Lisanna gave birth to the heir of the throne, Azulon, in 0 AG. It was eventually revealed that she was the cousin of Melody, Avatar Kuruk's granddaughter.
All throughout her reign as Fire Lady, Lisanna was beloved by all of her subjects because of her kindness and her strong sense of justice. Her love for Azulon is was motivated him to become the strong leader that she always knew he could be.
For many years, all was peaceful. But then, Lisa got sick and was confined to bed rest for an undefined amount of time. As summer drew closer, she grew frailer and frailer, before passing away on the Summer Solstice in 18 AG with her son and husband in attendance.
