Kyoka was a submissive waterbender born in the Norther Water Tribe to Kuruk and Kamaria. She was the mother of Melody, grandmother of Serafina, and great-grandmother of Ozai. Like her granddaughter, Kyoka is the daughter of an Avatar.
History[]
Not much can really be said about her past, other than the fact that she grew up sheltered and pampered as the daughter of the Avatar and a prince. At some point before her birth, her father passed away and she was raised alone by her mother.
By the time she reached her marrying age, sixteen years old, Kyoka journeyed to the Fire Nation, where she met a kind young man named Ty Lung, and with him, she gave birth to a daughter, Melody. For most of her life, Kyoka trained her daughter in the katas of waterbending, and she was extremely delighted when Melody managed to catch the attention of Avatar Roku.
Two years before her death, Melody gave birth to a daughter of her own, Serafina. Kyoka was overjoyed at having a granddaughter, and was in Sera's life for the first two years before dying in her sleep.
