Named for her maternal grandmother, Korra Zuckerman, Korra holds high-esteem towards her, and holds her and her accomplishments in high regards.

History[]

Early life[]

Korra II was born in 157 AG to Prince Iroh and Princess Wang Li of the Fire Nation, named for her late maternal grandmother, Korra Zuckerman. Having inherited the bending abilities of her father, and the tenacity of her mother, she grew into one of the Fire Nation's strongest benders despite her young age; though labeled a prodigy, Korra struggled with the lightning redirection techniques, being secretly afraid of hurting somebody she loved with her lightning. She would later overcome that fear, and become one of the highest-ranked members of the Fire Nation Royal Family.

170 AG[]

Destruction of the First Division[]

During their return to Republic City, with Tenzin asking them over the radio for their help, Korra asked her father if they should; reluctantly she yielded as her father had decided to accept the offer from the Avatar. A little furious but not willing to not follow orders, the young Princess reluctantly followed through with their orders. When they arrived, they were met with only silence. However, this so-called silence lasted for only a brief moment, as one of their fleet`s battleships blew up. Sometime during the fight, both Iroh and Korra II were flung from their shared battleship, with both of them being rescued by Avatar Korra.

Taking Republic City back[]

With the destruction of their fleet, and no clear way to enter the bay without their ships; they resorted to hiding in the sewers as they had no other options. While General Iroh tried to stop Commander Bumi from bringing his fleet back to the bay of Republic City, out of worry that they would be blown up by the biplane`s used by the Equalists` movement.

171 AG[]

Six months after Amon was defeated, Avatar Korra and Team Avatar requested their help again to fight the While Korra expressed her distaste for disobeying President Raiko, the Avatar expressed a heart-felt plea for them to help. Touched by the sheer emotions of the Avatar's plea, the two accepted to help the Avatar.

174 AG[]

While awaiting the arrival of Kuvira's army, Korra began a sparring section with one of the soldiers; in the middle of their sparring section, both of them were interrupted by the sight of Kuvira's mecha appearing. Aghast at the sight, both of them run towards Iroh and the Avatar; being shot down by two of Kuvira's troops in the process.

Appearance[]

Much like her maternal grandmother, Jade Li, Korra bears the violet eyes and black hair, distinctive proof of her Water Tribe heritage; unlike most members of the Water Tribe, she has pale skin, an unusual trait among its people. Her hair is styled into a traditional bun, reminiscent and in honor of her father's Fire Nation heritage; conversely, she doesn't possess the waterbending of her mother, nor the spiritual healing. Korra is typically dressed in light armor with a black shirt and black pants underneath.

Personality[]

Korra is an extremely serious, fiercely independent, sarcastic, direct, stubborn, and confrontational person; she is said to be the Fire Nation version of Toph Beifong, and the two are often compared to each other in terms of their personality. She appeared to have the same carefree and adventurous personality as Avatar Korra`s previous incarnation, Aang and was very tomboyish in the way she acted and dressed, in contrast to her more disciplined parents. Brutally honest when criticizing others, especially her friends and family, Korra doesn`t sugarcoat her words, and becomes offended when somebody shows offense to her opinion. Much like her great-grandfather, Lord Zuko, Korra adopts an aloof and detached nature when faced with difficult situations and choices; displaying a nasty habit of putting her life in danger to save her soldiers, an attitude that sets her apart from Admiral Zhao.

Abilities[]

Firebending[]

Much like her great-grandaunt, Princess Azula, Korra is one of the most skilled and powerful firebenders of her time, recognized as a prodigy by both her parents and Fire Lord Izumi. The most notable feature of Korra`s bending was her ability to create blue flames which are much more intense than the red, orange, and yellow flames normally used by firebenders, having trained relentlessly to achieve it. Despite her parents being unsettled by her prodigious talent mimicking her paternal great-grandaunt, Princess Azula, she has demonstrated a more through understanding of the basics, and her style of firebending is more rooted in the basics; this sets the two of them apart in terms of skills and abilities. She typically firebends with a closed fist or open hand as is typical among most firebenders, though occasionally uses only two fingers to firebend in some extreme cases. Despite that, the power and control she displays remain the same; in some ways, she is even more controlled than the actual Avatar, Korra, and displays restraints. She is capable of great feats of firebending and smaller-scale feats. Also notable was her ability to produce a greater amount of flames than most firebenders without tiring, and she was able to maintain successive assaults for long durations of time. As a side effect of her control, whenever she lost control of her emotions, her firebending became erratic and virtually uncontrollable. The depth of her potential was such, that she was able to use extremely high-level techniques one-after-the-other without tiring, something that would strain a lesser firebender; her potential was even considered to that of Lord Zuko in his teenager years. Like her father, she is skilled proficient in the highly difficult technique of generating lightning, a sub-skill of firebending, displaying a fine control of this skill. She also displayed the ability to redirect lightning, taught to her by her father; displaying an innate knowledge of it`s inner workings, she taught Korra to redirect lightning as well as generate lightning. Another skill she possesses is the ability to breath fire from her mouth, a skill that was not passed down to her father; overall she is possibly a more rounded bender than Korra who is very aggressive, and displays more control and skill, using her abilities in firebending

Intelligence[]

An extremely intelligent and cunning strategist, Korra is one of the most cunning members of Team Avatar; further showcasing her intelligence by making a plan to lure Desna and Eska to them by using Bolin as bait to enrage Eska into chasing them. She was also a highly studious girl. Since childhood, she was well-versed in her nation's military history as she successfully recounted Fire Lord Sozin's strategy in an old battle. A master in warfare and the human brain, she was capable of manipulating others with that information though she showed a distaste for such an action.

Other Skills[]

Korra displayed high-level skills in other skills, besides her bending abilities and high intelligence; she was also well versed in unarmed combat, and was one of the best practitioners of it in the entire Fire Nation. She easily executed a mid-air back-flip to avoid one of her enemies, as well as pulling off multiple back-flips to avoid a frenzy of anger-filled firebending from her younger sister; in fact, she was said to be trained in acrobatics by Ty Lee`s teenager daughter, San Beifong, the most famous acrobatic in the Fire Nation and possibly the entire world. Extremely agile, Korra is capable of running up walls, jumping off from a moving train to a swaying tree top, and perform mid-air twirls. Her physical strength was also adept as she could perform a planche, supporting her body in a horizontal position just by using her arms, with little effort.

Chi-Blocking[]

Another of Korra`s defining abilities was her chi-blocking abilities, even as a child, she was capable of striking somebody`s pressure points; another skill that she picked up from San Beifong. She had the ability to paralyze a single body part or an opponent's entire body.

Relationships[]

Relatives[]

Wang Li and General Iroh[]

Since her early childhood years, Korra has held a good relationship with her mother, and learned the principles of redirecting lightning from watching her waterbending extensively; she would adopt the same principles towards lightning that her great-great granduncle, the late Prince Iroh had first demonstrated to Lord Zuko when he was first learning to redirect lightning. In general, she has a good relationship with both of her parents.

Trivia[]

  • Korra II is often confused with Avatar Korra due to both of them having no distinct surnames.
  • She has tamed a Snow leopard caribou, which she named after the late Prince Iroh, similar to paying homage to his memory; Lord Zuko found this rather endearing.
  • Though she is a firebender and member of the Fire Nation`s Royal Family, she spends most of her time living in either the Southern Water Tribe visiting Korra`s relatives, or in Republic City spending time with the new generation of Team Avatar.
  • Like Suyin Beifong, who taught Avatar Korra to metalbend, Korra II taught the Avatar to generate lightning, and redirect; all three of these abilities are sub-skills of Earthbending and Firebending respectively.
  • She is related to the Republic City criminal Yakone, though this information is not widely known; after later finding out, she expressed disgust towards her maternal mother`s father, and expressed how much she would like to drop him in an erupting volcano.
  • She was trained in Archery by the Yuyan Archers, with some of them even being part of her and her family`s bodyguard detail.
