| By Evatar114 | Part of the Avatar: Choices continuity. |
Katara is a Waterbender from the Southern Tribe and a member of Team Avatar. She is one of the most powerful waterbenders on the planet and serves as the "mother" of the group.
History[]
Before Choices[]
After defeating Azula and restoring Zuko to his place on the throne, Aang and Katara started a relationship and are currently traveling around the world with Toph, searching for airbenders and helping to rebuild after The War.
During Choices[]
Katara is slightly disturbed by Aang's nightmare about Todd and Viola, but she doesn't pay much attention to it until they actually find them in a river in the Western Earth Kingdom. She's shocked by the extent of Todd's injury and works on healing it while Aang and Toph talk to Viola. Later, Katara is the only one who's really shown sympathy for Viola, but is slightly creeped out when she sees Viola walking around in the middle of the night with a knife in her hand. In Remembrance, she fights alongside Aang and Toph against Combustion Man. When she is injured and appears dead, it triggers the Avatar State in Aang, leading him to kill Combustion Man and destroy the town they were staying near. Katara flees from the village with the others to the Western Air Temple, where she shows concern for Viola's well being. After Viola falls off the edge of the temple, Katara helps splint her broken leg.
Appearance[]
Katara has brown hair and blue eyes. She wears traditional Water Tribe clothing, and her hair loopies are slightly more prominent then they were at the end of the series.
Personality[]
Katara keeps her personality from the main series; kind, caring, and maternal to the point of suffocation. She also keeps her nasty temper and faith when others would have given up. Katara has definitely loosened up, and is much happier when she's with Aang.

Abilities[]
Waterbending[]
Katara still remains one of the most powerful waterbenders on the planet. She is considered a master bender, and she was powerful enough to become Avatar Aang's waterbending teacher.
Healing[]
Katara has made great strides in her healing abilities. She is able to heal burns, lacerations, and other minor injuries with little difficulty. She can also temporarily lift brainwashing, and she is knowledgeable about herbal remedies and medicines outside her bending.
