Earth Princess Kalika , nicknamed Kali, was the Earth Kingdom-born Avatar immediately succeeding Avatar Kuruk of the Northern Water Tribe, and preceding Avatar Ozai of the Fire Nation. She was the Earth Kingdom Avatar immediately succeeding Kyoshi, the Princess of Omashu and the daughter of King Bumi, who was a close friend of Aang. Kalika was born eleven years after the Air Nomad Genocide and died on the eve of Ozai's birth at the age of forty-five years old.
At some point before her death, Kalika married and had a son, Fiore. Her son, Fiore, later married an Earth Kingdom Noble, Merielle, and they had a daughter, her granddaughter, Kyomi.

Kalika as a baby
Kalika was born in the city of Omashu to Bumi in 11 AG, eleven years after the slaughter of the Air Nomads. Growing up as an Earth Kingdom princess, Kalika was headstrong, brave, loyal, strong, incredibly stubborn, and smart; managing to outsmart anyone and willing to stand her ground to those who wish her or her people harm. She was particularly close with Aang, and often referred to him as 'Uncle Aang' as a form of affection.
