Avatar Jafar is the Avatar succeeding Avatar Ku Tei of Omashu and preceeding Avatar Yangchen of the Western Air Temple. Jafar was born in 612 BG to an affluent family in Ember Island. His father was the Head Fire Sage. The title would later be passed on to his son, the person who would later help Yangchen master the Avatar state. Jafar saw many conflicts arise during his time, including a vast war between the tyrannical Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation.
History[]
After the death of the legendary Avatar Ku Tei, Jafar was born on Ember Island in 612 BG. His father was the Head Fire Sage and his mother was a housekeeper. His family was very wealthy and well off. At the age of 6 in 606 BG, his family moved to the Fire Nation Capital City, where he met the Prince of the Fire Nation. Jafar was told of his identity by the Order of the White Lotus when he was 16. An event that would forever alter his life. Not long after learning this information, Jafar traveled to the Northern Air Temple to master airbending. He was able to master airbending in a year and a half. Jafar then traveled to the Northern Water Tribe to learn waterbending from the Chief himself. Water was very challenging for Jafar to learn, as it was his opposite element. In three and a half years time, Jafar mastered waterbending and set out for the Earth Kingdom. He mastered earthbending in only a years time. In six years, Jafar had mastered all of the elements at only the age of 22. 10 years later in the year 580 BG, the Earth Kingdom started to begin colonizing the outskirts of the Fire Nation island archipelago. Jafar did not take too kindly to this when he found this out. He participated in many battles between the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom. The war lasted until 550 BG, later being known as the Thirty Years War. The war ended by Jafar setting a new monarch on the Earth Kingdom throne. Throughout his time as the Avatar, Jafar was known to be one of the greats. He ended a gigantic war and was able to keep peace throughout the rest of his life. He died at the age of 112 in 500 BG with his son and granddaughter at his bedside.
Appearances in the Live Shows[]
Jafar, like all other Avatars, appeared in the lines of Avatar during Aang and Korra's visions. You never get to see Jafar speak but you do see him bending four volcanoes at one time in Aang's vision guided by Roku. He also helped to restore Korra's bending in the season one finale along with all other past avatars before and after him.
