| By King Bumis Heir | Part of the Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan continuity. |
The Iqaluit's Royal Family is the current royal family that resides inside the Royal Palace of Iqaluit. The current dynasty begins with Chief Nikaitchuk, who lived during Avatar Kwan Chun's life and died before Avatar Anana returned home to the South Pole. The Dynasty survived through four Avatars and it is unknown whether it continues past Rong Yan or not.
History[]
Chief Nikaitchuk[]
The current dynasty starts with Chief Nikaitchuk was born in 960 BG, his mother was the chieftess as married another noble and so when he took the throne in 924 BG when he was 36. Which changed the nation's hands into another dynasty. Nikaitchuk lived to meet two Avatars, the Air Nomad Avatar Kwan Chun and the Southern Water Tribe's very own Avatar Anana.
He gifted Anana her animal guide an arctic dire wolf named Amarok, this was her form of rapid transportation around the Oma Kingdom. Nikaitchuk died before Anana returned home as a fully realized Avatar.
Chief Shesh[]
His son Shesh took the throne in 894 BG and lived through the Blood War first-hand. Avatar Anana's husband Master Tuuluuwaq held Shesh and his wife Miki hostage for punishing his brother. Until his wife stopped him and he escaped with his bloodbenders.
Avatar Anana and Chief Shesh made a historical law that affects their descendants and many others today. After Anana ended the Blood War, Shesh and Anana made bloodbending illegal in the South Pole. While the North Pole wasn't affected by the Blood War like the South was, the chief before Chief Akitla also banned the use of bloodbending his nation a year after. Resulting in it being called the Forbidden Art.
Chief Sagluruk[]
Shesh died in 829 BG of cancer, and his son aka Unirak's grandfather, Sagluruk, took the throne in 829 BG and ruled until 750 BG.
Chief Aput[]
His son, Unirak's father, Aput, took it in 750 BG and lived through the Thirty Year War where his armies unified with Chief Nanuq's brother and then Chief Nanuq to fight the Qiangda Kingdom. Avatar Ku Tei agreed to have a ceasefire between both chiefs and the Earth King Ta Po to allow Ku Tei to kill Senlin. Later he stepped down in 687 BG after he fell critically ill and died in 685 BG.
Chief Unirak[]
Unirak took the throne in 687 BG but never experienced the war himself however, he has dealt with the Fifth Nation raiding Iqaluit. Where his wife was sexually assaulted and killed by a pirate. Which sparks their immense hatred of the Fifth Nation pirates.
The Northern-Qiangdian War sparks again during his reign, he joins the war with Chief Cupun to help him defeat the Qiangda Kingdom. This was also a result of his daughter Princess Tanaraq marrying Prince Tulok of the North. Unified as family they take the fight to the Earth King while the Earth King of the Oma Kingdom also ambushes the Qiangda Kingdom. A ceasefire is declared between the Tribesmen and the Kingsmen of Qiangda, to allow the Avatar to kill General Senlin and stop Senlin's rebellion from invading Ba Sing Se.
Unirak abdicates his throne in 847 BG, which crowns his son Prince Unaraq as the new chief of the South in 847 BG, where he rules until his death in 510 BG. Living through most of Avatar Rong Yan's life and living through some of Avatar Yangchen's years before passing away peacefully in his sleep. Records show his dynasty lives throughout Yangchen's life but no records show anything past Kuruk.
