Inuksuk is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan.

History[]

Inuksuk served in the Northern Water Tribe navy for over ten years, although he later deserted the navy. The reason for his desertion was the corruption of the leadership within the navy, family members were wrongly promoted just for being family. Several other issues that went unknown.

Inuksuk fled to the Oma Kingdom where he hid for another few years before he met Sappak and Palartok. Inuksuk was given a second chance in the navy and joined the Northern Rebellion, a group of rebels who've left over a variety of reasons. The founders were a man named Senlin who was in the Qiangdian Royal Prison and Palartok himself.

The goals of the rebellion were to spark the old war between the Qiangda Kingdom and the Northern Water Tribe. Many were recruited on the way with over 400 rebels in a year, the rebellion grew to a massive number of 5000 rebels by 655 BG.

Inuksuk and his men hid amongst the barbarians of the northern Qiangdian territories with an allegiance between themselves. They assigned their foot soldiers on missions to ambush money carriages, war contraband, nobles, and supply carriages.

In 657 BG, Inuksuk and his group had the barbarians now a part of the rebellion and they ransacked the village of Hanggai and taken it for themselves. Inuksuk made the navy outpost was built not far from Hanggai where his sister-in-arms Kireama was stationed. The civilians were killed leaving no survivors the Northern rebels set up shop.

Inuksuk and Kireama waited in Hankou until the construction near Meng river was completed. An abandoned fort was taken over and repairs needed to be completed before the rebels could use it as their headquarters.

Three years later, Inuksuk spent most of his days within the fort as he trained his men further along with Kireama, Palartok, Kimaru, Sappak, and Senlin. When Palartok deserted the rebellion to help win the fight in favor of the Avatar. Senlin ordered Inuksuk toss Kireama's corpse to the carrion birds and move out toward northern Han province where he'd meet with Senlin and the Omashu provincial guard.

After Senlin and Kimaru left, Makik convinced Sappak and Inuksuk to let Kireama live. He gave up his spirit water and revived the dying Kireama. Inuksuk threatened to kill her if she were to return and so she gathered her things and fled.

Abilities[]

Inuksuk was born a waterbender and mastered it in the navy at the age of 19. After he deserted the navy and hid in the Oma Kingdom, he learned how to bend the water inside vegetation. It took him about three years to master plantbending. Which he needed to since he was a man in a strange land.

Trivia[]

  • Inuksuk means "an Alaskan cairn to mark pathways" in Inuit. It means on the right path.
  • Inuksuk didn't exist in the original which indicated in a plot hole that the rebellion was minuscule. But in the rewritten version many officers were created to show that the rebellion was big enough to cause problems.
